If you're the kind of Marvel fan who likes to go into these movies as blind as possible, turn back now — because the latest teaser video for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has revealed some major cameos.

Still here? Okay, let's dig in.

We already know that the Illuminati — a secret organization from Marvel comics made up of some of its most prominent superheroes — will be making an appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel. We know that Patrick Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier is in it, thanks to his voice cameo in past trailers. We also know there's going to be a connection to the Disney+ animated series What If...?: The alternate-reality version of Doctor Stephen Strange who embraced dark magic is showing up.

Now it turns out there's another major What If...? cameo in the film.

The new promo, seen below, features Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in combat with... Captain Carter, a character voiced by Hayley Atwell in animated form in What If...? We don't see her face, but we see Wanda using her chaos magic to knock Carter back, at which point she reveals her shield to the camera.

The What If...? series took viewers to many alternate realities, including one where instead of Steve Rogers being injected with the super-soldier serum and becoming Captain America, Atwell's Peggy Carter became the subject, transforming herself into the super-powered Captain Carter. We don't know officially if Atwell will be reprising the role, but it's a fair guess.

But the other big cameo from the new Doctor Strange promo isn't a person at all — it's a chair!

Benedict Cumberbatch's Strange is carted before the Illuminati, at which point we hear the voice of Stewart's Xavier again. "We will see what kind of Doctor Strange you are," he says, further hinting that there will be multiple versions of Doctor Strange from various realities in this movie.

We also see that Xavier rides out onto the scene in a yellow hover-chair, which the character used in the comics but also more notably in the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series.

We'll see what other reveals are in store for Marvel fans before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in theaters next week. But if the studio is unveiling big-ticket items like Captain Carter and Xavier's hover-chair staple, we can probably assume there are even bigger surprises being saved for the premiere.
