Netflix releases first trailer for Beyoncé's 'Homecoming' documentary (original) (raw)

One day after whipping Beyoncé fans into a frenzy with a mysterious tease for a new project titled Homecoming, Netflix leveled up and released an official trailer for a documentary on the singer's celebrated Coachella set.

Per the streaming service, "Homecoming presents an intimate look at Beyoncé's historic 2018 Coachella performance that paid homage to America's historically black colleges and universities. Interspersed with candid footage and interviews detailing the preparation and powerful intent behind her vision, Homecoming traces the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement."

The trailer shows footage of the singer and her dancers rehearsing, along with glimpses of husband Jay-Z and the couple's three children, daughter Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir.

Fans won't have to wait long to see more — Homecoming will premiere on Netflix on April 17. Get in formation and watch the film's new trailer above.
