The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different drip irrigation regimes and pl... more The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different drip irrigation regimes and planting densities on the incidence of the leaf miner, Leucoptera coffeella, in arabica coffee plants for one year. The experiment was carried out in 2008, in a complete randomized block design, in a split-plot in time arrangement, with four replicates. The treatments consisted of four drip irrigation regimes - soil water balance, irrigations at 20 and 60 kPa soil tensions, and a nonirrigated treatment -, which were distributed at three plant densities: 2, 500, 5, 000, and 10, 000 plants per hectare. The evaluations were made on a monthly basis between January and December 2008. The highest pest occurrence period was from August to November, a season with low-air relative humidity preceded by a drought period. Este trabalho objetivou avaliar os efeitos de duas intensidades de desfolhacao (15 e 30 cm) sobre... more Este trabalho objetivou avaliar os efeitos de duas intensidades de desfolhacao (15 e 30 cm) sobre a producao de MS, residuo, area foliar residual (AFR), capacidade de rebrota no escuro (CRE) e dinâmica do sistema radicular do estilosante Mineirao (Stylosanthes guianensis cv.Mineirao). As desfolhacoes foram realizadas de outubro de 2000 a setembro de 2001. O intervalo de cortes foi de 64+ 7 e 82 + 4 dias nas epocas chuvosa e seca do ano, respectivamente. Apos analises estatisticas, as medias foram comparadas pelo teste de Tukey (10%). O acumulo de MS foi afetado pela interacao altura x epoca de desfolhacao. No corte a 15 cm, o acumulo de folhas nao diferiu de novembro a abril, mas declinou de 1.700 kg/ha no mes de abril para 317kg/ha no mes de setembro. No residuo, houve aumento da MS total e da AFR ate fevereiro, em ambas as alturas de corte. A densidade das raizes finas (< 2 mm de diâmetro) diminuiu na epoca seca.
