Hello to all and faery blessings on all of your days =)
You may call me Faeth. I am 19 years old, and have believed in faeries since I was a little girl, and even more so since I read Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." It's funny to hear stories about myself from my parents' friends about when I was younger. They said I could often be found out in the middle of the field, spinning around in circles and talking to absolutely no one but myself (or so they thought.)
Now that I am "older" and "wiser" and "more mature" (::grins::) I still believe in faeries. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend and I just moved into our first, new house Christmas weekend, and I believe that we may have a hobgoblin or a faerie (or two!) lurking around. Every so often, I will see an apparition out of the corner of my eye. I can never look at him/her/it/they directly- they always dash away, quickly, out my sight. I always hear a very faint laughter and I smile and shake my head.
A girl from one of the groups I belong to told me to be careful as spirits are known to be dangerous, and while I appreciate her concern, I don't believe that this being, whatever it may be, is a dangerous one. I know faeries (and other beings of this sort) are not all peaches and cream, and that they can do as much harm as they can good...I think I might just have a pixie, for all that mischevious laughter I hear =)
And what's funny is, although I've never had a "green thumb" in all my life, nor have I ever taken particular care of plants, since we've moved into the house I have been a woman possessed to start not only a faerie garden, but also an herb garden. I went out this past weekend and got some rosemary, mint, lavender, thyme, and other herbs to plant and take care of. Thankfully I can raise these inside until this silly on-and-off-again cold front leaves Florida with our normally warm, sunny weather.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and give you all a little background.
Zillah, I went back a couple of pages and read your descriptions of Wright and Abelard and just couldn't stop giggling. I can picture them as clearly as if they were in front of me =) Hopefully I will make contact with this "being" that has seemed to have taken up residence in my house for a while, and when I do, I'll be sure to post and let you know.
Thanks for reading everyone! Blessed Be!
