Yay! I made a new icon for the community cuz I figured out how to make my picture editor resize things! It was harder then you might imagine. Anywho, it's not great, but it's nice.

Ros and I both discovered the joys of Cheetos and Pop tarts so if you ever have a hedgehog cheesesnacks and hoof-covered strawberry cakes are key.

Ros went to the Vet yesterday. He's 135 grams about 4 oz. (one of those is right I'm positive the over may be wrong I have a short memoery span) Not only that he's in perfect health and the Vet said he's one of the best behaved Hedgehogs he's seen. So kudos for the monster.

mass mass MASS love to Dave who fixed the hedgehog last night. Its been so cold and my heat has been broken so I've been taking Ros out every night just to make sure he isn't too cold or goes into hibernation. But last night he was doing his best impression of a ball and not responding. So Dave helped my warm him up and even came up with the genius idea of putting the reading light on the cage to warm him up and by the end of the night my little monster had woken up and spent all night waking me up every couple hours.
Also I stopped by Zooquatics today to pick up meal worms, which I got, and to see if they had any other hedgehog foods (Ros won't eat the Vitakraft, only the ferret food I mix in), the didn't but I did order a different kind to see if that will be better.
Monday, Feb 28 is Ros's first check up at the vets. He'll be going to Companion to see Dr Mccormic, or however its spelled, who is this areas best vet for "exotic" (unusual) pets. Hopefully everything will be in the good and I'll post his vitals (weight, size, ect) once I get them.

So last night was fun. Rosencrantz chose last night at 1:30 in the morning to have his first emergancy. I came in to see why he wasn't making noises since he should be awake and he was curled in a ball on his wheel breathing heavily and twitching so I poked at him to get him to stop cause he was scaring me and he didn't respond. So I took him out and wrapped him in a blanket and called Daniel, which was busy, then called Andrew who gave me Companion's emergancy number. And all of a sudden Ros was fine but I still called. The doctor told me that it was probably low blood sugar since he's barely eaten anything and to feed him anything he would eat, including doughnuts, which he nibbled the night before. So I spent the entire night feeding him meale worms (which is kinda freaky to watch) and doughnut. He wouldn't touch everything else I got him, and wrapping him in a heated blanket, since the vet also told me to keep him warm. So, yeah, fun.
