The study was aimed at determining the qualitative and quantitative trace elements in these plants. Leaves, stem barks and corm of selected plants were analyzed for their trace elemental contents. The plant samples were found to contain essential trace elements such as Mn, Cu, Zn, Fe, Cr and Ni which are well known for their important roles in formulation of herbal drugs as well as toxic elements such as Cd and Pb. The concentration of Mn ranged from 0.10 ± 0.00 mg/kg in Khaya grandifoliola to 2.16 ± 0.00 mg/kg in Morinda lucida while for Zn, highest concentration of 0.31 ± 0.01 mg/kg was obtained in Lawsonia inermis. Fe concentration ranged from 0.77 ± 0.03 mg/kg in Curcuma longa to 7.22 ± 0.01 mg/kg in Azadirachta indica while for Cr, it varied between 0.01 ± 0.03 mg/kg and 0.13 ± 0.01 mg/kg for Alstonia boonei and Enantia chlorontha respectively. Ni concentration varied from 0.22 ± 0.01 mg/kg (Mangifera indica) to 0.33 ± 0.02 mg/kg (Enantia chlorontha) while Pb varied between 0.39 ± 0.05 mg/kg (Nauclea latifolia) and 0.76 ± 0.15 mg/kg (Enantia chlorontha). Cu and Cd levels were below detection limits [Cu (0.005 mg/kg and Cd (0.01 mg/kg)] of the spectrophotometer used. The concentrations of the trace elements in the samples were lower than the permissible limits set by World Health Organization (WHO). The study has shown that the herbal plants can provide antimalarial potency without leaving deteriorate effects of consuming some harmful trace elements. The study could serve a baseline for further researches on the subject matter in future.

With the proposed new system, the process of logic simulation has been made much easier because it simulates the behaviour of logic gate and has Graphic User Interface (GUI) features coupled with an help content which would assist the user with being familiar with the software. The automated system helps to connects logic gates together, display their result via LCD, the study outlines the main concepts of the analysis and design methodology of the proposed system, compare it to the existing and goes further to explain the design and implementation of the system. The logic gate simulator will assist the students taking the topic (logic gate) under the Digital Electronics course to fully understand how the gates behaves under different situations and thus assisting in making life easier for their lectures and Technologists.

Students' project report, which is a creative and systematic work undertaken by students to increase and test the stock of knowledge acquired within and outside the school premises, need to be properly stored for future references. In order to achieve this, there is need to develop a repository system where students' past project can be well stored, managed and accessed in digital format. The developed application of Project Repository System focused on the past project reports of

The 238 232 40 results of the analysis indicated a mean activity concentration of U, Th and k as 1.30±0.45Bq/L, 1.75±0.58Bq/L and 15.71±1.15Bq/L respectively. The radiological hazard parameters (radium equivalent, absorbed dose rate, annual committed effective dose, and annual gonadal equivalent dose, external, internal and representative gamma indices) to assess the effects of using the water for domestic purposes were also-1-1-1 estimated. The estimated mean values of 5.0072Bq/L, 2.3229nGyh , 0.0005mSvy and 16.277 µSvy for radium activity, absorbed dose, annual effective committed dose and annual gonadal equivalent dose respectively are far below the world average for safe limit provided in UNSCEAR, 2000 report. Other estimated radiological hazard indices such as excess lifetime cancer risk, representation gamma index, external and internal indices were also found to be within the safe limit. Therefore, the radiological health hazard associated with ingestion of natural radionuclides in the water samples under investigation do not pose any significant radiological health hazard related to its usage. The results could also provide baseline values useful in developing standards and guidelines for the use of the water. This research, however recommends that routine monitoring of the water be conducted annually.

It takes Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology as a case study. However, the application of Project Repository System focus on the past project works of the institution with a view to reducing the stress, errors, loss and other damages which arises as a result of manual method of keeping past project works in an educational institution like Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan in particular. This project has been specifically carried out and presented in a concise manner to cover the necessary background information and to satisfy the needs for designing a project repository system. Visual Basic programing language and Windows form application was used to in order to satisfy the needs for designing a project repository system for an institution. The software developed will be able eradicate the difficulties experienced in the old system and make work easier, timely, reliable, efficient in work flow which in turn will assist management in decision making to meet up with global challenges of the recent age.
