Contact tracing is a well-established and effective approach towards containing an outbreak. Effe... more Contact tracing is a well-established and effective approach towards containing an outbreak. Effective contact tracing can allow societies to reopen from lock-down even before availability of vaccines. One common measure taken to contain or reduce diffusion is to detect infected individuals and trace their prior contacts so as to then selectively isolate any individuals likely to have been infected. The objective of mobile contact tracing is to speed up the manual interview based contact tracing process for containing an outbreak efficiently and quickly. These prior contacts can be traced using mobile devices such as smartphones or smartwatches, which can continuously collect the location and contacts of their owners by using their embedded localisation and communications technologies, such as GPS, Cellular networks, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. In this article, covidtracer app will be used to identify who you have been with rather than where you have been, we will also throw light on some of the issues and challenges pertaining to the adoption of mobile contact tracing solutions for fighting COVID-19.

Educational institutions can utilize modern technologies such as IoT to deliver an interactive learning experience; it is now becoming a common practice to communicate with your day today interacting appliance remotely using a portable device like a Smartphone which has internet connectivity. This has been made easier by the concept of Internet of Things (IoT). By integrating computers, software's, technology behind audience, assistant devices and audiovisual facilities, the smart classrooms are now heightened. The traditional teaching-learning approach using lecture and notes writing actually bring down the success in modern day education. The main objective of this paper is to propose a system that is capable of providing a smart classroom interconnected to achieve automation in education institution. The model of the smart classroom will be integrated by connecting Raspberry pi with LCD display and the Smartphone that is controlled via the internet. Connected devices would definitely help teachers to transform classroom experience. It also improves the comfort, energy efficiency, indoor security, cost savings of the classroom and make the classroom smart in real time.

This paper seeks to discover the basic challenges that school managers are facing currently in deploying ICT for school management. Result will shed light on administrators to improvise and increase the utilization of ICT in daily administrative tasks to make their work more efficient and effective. The implementation of the recommended solutions will have no doubt boost the confidence of the present day and would-be school managers in deploying ICT in their schools. It is worthy of note that school management using ICT has enormous impacts on nation building and development.

The amount of data being generated globally is increasing at rapid rates with digitization taking over industries; more and more organizations are generating digital data like never before. Cloud Computing has emerged as a new paradigm for hosting and delivering services over the internet and it is the major source for data sharing, storage and processing. A data warehouse is a specialized database focused on data quality and presentation, providing tangible data assets that are actionable and consumable by user and also support decision-making process. In this paper we will focus on the impact of cloud computing in the deployment of Data warehouse technology. For this purpose, we first provide a functional overview of cloud computing, its characteristics and requirements for cloud-based Data Warehousing systems and at the end we provide the challenges to deploy the data warehousing on the cloud.

Those transactions are verified and registered by every node of the network, thus creating a transparent and immutable sequence of registered events whose veracity is provided by a consensus protocol. E-voting system is an electronic way of casting and counting votes. It is an efficient and cost effective way for conducting a voting process in real time. However, globally, concerns on security networking and privacy of communication for e-voting have evolved. Securing e-voting is very urgent and has becoming a popular topic in the area of communications and networking. In Nigeria, citizens have complained over the integrity of national electoral umpire simply because Nigeria is still using traditional voting system. Integrity is put to test on every of our election result especially by the opposition parties. Electronic voting systems are one example of a use case that can be improved by the block-chain technology. We therefore, try to apply block-chain technology to our electoral process in order to improve the security of e-voting in Nigeria. This paper proposed block-chain based electronic voting in order to have safe, free, fair, and transparent elections in Nigeria. Finally, we recommend this system to be absorbed by Independent National Electoral Commission for reliable, effective and efficient electoral system.

The aim of this work is to develop a crime analysis information system with the help of GIS, so t... more The aim of this work is to develop a crime analysis information system with the help of GIS, so that law enforcement agencies can adopt the use of crime maps in it operation and reap the benefit. The motivation to carry out this work came because the police find it difficult to manage and control these crime largely due to the obsolete method and resources employed in doing so and also they face challenges of handling large number of information and huge volume of records pertaining to crime and criminals. The system will help law enforcement agencies in analysis of crime which leads to crime hot spot identification, improving outcome in crime investigation, criminal detection and also sharing of information. The methodology employed is, structured system development methodology because it is a proven one. The structured system development methodology takes an objective view of reality; provide elaborate planning guidelines, techniques and case tools. The system will be built on dotNet platform using C#/ADO.Net for the front end and application logic. MS-SQL will be used as data back end. Geomap tool, a third party API also provides some additional functionality for better visualization of maps for more accurate visual analysis. The expected system will be able to detect crime location, provide information to formulate strategies for crime prevention and reduce the further occurrence of similar incidence by analysing crime pattern.
