Stephen Udachinojo Omatule is a graduate with a National Diploma in computer Science from Federal Polytechnic Idah, kogi State. During his academic journey, he distinguished himself as a dedicated researcher, focusing on the intersection of hardware engineering and IT. Stephen is also an active advocate for sustainable practices and also a Y-55 Member of the African Union Youth Assembly and also a World Bank Group Youth Delegate for 2022 and 2023 having organized awareness campaigns and participated in policy formulation of AfFTA in Africa and also a gender based inclusion member of the world bank group youth Delegate.

Social Protection for the Informal Economy: Operational Lessons for Developing Countries in Afric... more Social Protection for the Informal Economy: Operational Lessons for Developing Countries in Africa and Beyond provides an overview of social protection instruments for different groups in the diverse informal economy and proposes innovative social insurance instruments to encourage the missed middle of social protection to save to build resilience to future shocks. The report has a focus on providing operational guidance to policymakers, practitioners, and task teams who would like to implement and evaluate the proposed scheme for the informal economy. It includes guidance on how these schemes can be integrated into the overall social protection systems including at the operational level to provide a continuum of social protection. It also includes the first-ever compilation of country experiences in this emerging area of work.
