Well, that was a thrill-a-minute. :^/
Come on, people, show some spine! Put your money where your mouth is! Don't let me walk away with your prize just because I bid $5 more than you did!
*sigh* Well, to the victor go the spoils. I can check ruthenium off on my table. And what a beautiful sample too!

How many elements do you have left to collect? And what do you do with the ones you have, anyways?

The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try and take over the world!!!!
No, seriously, I put them in boxes with little yellow tags on every one. What does anybody do with any collection, of, say, Coca Cola novelty advertisements?
Right now, they're all stuffed on a book case. I really do need to get some sort of rhyme and reason to the collection. Mostly I'm interested in the story behind the samples, and, in addition to just the pure element, I like to collect samples showing how they're used.
Some day, I'll post pics. Right now, as anyone who's seen my collection will attest, they're just a bunch of blobs sitting on a shelf. Well, at least until I start telling their stories!

To answer your question of how many, I have 84 of the 95 "haveable" elements, although what's "haveable" is a matter of debate.
I've got essentially seven more pure element samples to collect that you could sit on a shelf and see.
Fluorine is too reactive to sit on a shelf and see -- so I've got a few fluorine containing rocks as a stand in. The other three elements are radioactive to the point where I could realistically have only a tiny trace anyway.
Beyond those 95 elements, the rest have half-lives too short to be sitting on a shelf in my house.

I'll work on that.
Is that US$0.01 or A$0.01?

Make it A$0.01, it's cheaper ;)

When are you building the actual "table" (display case) for it all?

Soon, I should think. My elements are getting a bit too much entropy, sitting, as they are, on a book shelf.
Theodore Gray, Genius and Bon Vivant that he is, built such a table to use at his office at Wolfram Research. It is for this table that he won the 2002 Ig Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

I know. I saw that recently.... my heart actualyl sank a little bit for you, because I really wanted you to be the first person to do something that cool. I thought that would be awesome.
I mean, it will still be awesome... you just won't be first.

*blush* How sweet! *tousles hair*
Oh, he did that years ago. Besides, he's hella richer than I am!
Still, I'm sure one day I'll do something worthy of an Ig Nobel Prize! Maybe we could collaborate on some hare-brained scheme?

Oh, I think that picture left quite a bit to the imagination!
I'm saving my biggest *victory dance* for when I don't have to imagine that!
