Borderlands | UK 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD now confirmed (original) (raw)

Eli Roth’s Borderlands film comes to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK this November – more on the release here.

After something akin to a crash and burn at the box office in August, Lionsgate will be hoping for better return when Borderlands gets its physical media release. It was quickly made available on video on demand services, but the studio has – and good on it – committed to a full physical media release for the film as well.

Directed by Eli Roth, the film is an adaptation of the videogame series, and it attracted quite a cast too. Cate Blanchett, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Jamie Lee Curtis are all part of the ensemble. Our review of the film – and we were one of the few who got something out of it, it seems – can be found here.

Anyway, the physical media release. Best turn to that before we turn into a clickbait site. Lionsgate is releasing the movie across the DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray formats. There’s also a Steelbook edition.

You can find the DVD here.

The Blu-ray is here.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is here.

The Steelbook is here.

No sign of any extras on any version, but they are all going to be available in the UK from 4th November 2024.

The synopsis for the film is here…

Lilith (Cate Blanchett), an infamous outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the universe’s most powerful S.O.B., Atlas (Edgar Ramirez). Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team – Roland (Kevin Hart), a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Jamie-Lee Curtis), the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap (Jack Black), a persistently wiseass robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other. Based on the game from Gearbox and 2K, one of the bestselling videogame franchises of all time, welcome to Borderlands

The discs are all available to preorder now.
