_11:12 am_[quembelle] Girls night - March 4th at Mr. Goodbar in Buffalo, NY! I'm planning on leaving around 5:45 and have room for 4 in my car and i don't mind driving. (aren't i just so sweet!) If more people are going (and hey, invite your girl friends, the more the merrier!) we can figure out rides and stuff then. Holly, do you know if we have to do anything special for happy hour or do we just show up?I really like this bar, i've been a couple times with Holly and Co. and the guy that will be singing, Kevin McCarthy (thats his name, right?) is really funny and really good! And, I'm sure we can always find other things to do afterwards if people are up for it. Let me know! (3 Comments |Comment on this)

_8:43 am_[holly26ma] Tonight Hey Guys, I'm up for anything going on tonight. I heard from Dave this morning, and it's not good. He's overseas now, and it just doesn't sound good... friends is certainly what I need right now as well as some fun... Doesn't necessarily have to be booze... there's so many fun things out there, especially in the summer.. I'm up for anything... games, movies (Dodgeball looks good), golf (mini or regular), comedy, festivals (if there's any going on), dinner, shopping!! Anything sounds good at this point.. Just to let any of you know if you're interested, I'll be heading to Buffalo one of these days this weekend, just for a day. The Taste of Buffalo will be going on. If anyone is intersted in going with me, please let me know. My deadbeat friends in Buffalo haven't replied to me, so most likely I'll be going alone. The festival runs Sat. from 12pm-9pm, & Sun. 11am-7pm. If you've ever been, it's awesome!!! Look forward to seeing you all tonight!! Holly Current Mood: blah (Comment on this)

_8:32 am_[quembelle] Not sure what your thoughts are for the girls' night out, but if we were still interested in Comix Cafe they have coupons online. The only thing is to validate the coupons, you have to call in to Comix Cafe to get a confirmation #. Let me know if this is a thought of something to do. I'm game for anything. Just a thought for something different to do. Are there any festivals or something going on this weekend? See you Thursday!she also mentioned we could do stuff like miniature golfing or go to a golfing range (holly knows how to golf, she apparently wouldn't mind teaching us.... i gave her a link to LJ so hopefully she'll be signing up soon. _6:51 pm_[quembelle] Thought you girls would enjoy this, Holly sent it to me in an e-mail.In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber. "I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news," he said as he surveyed the worried faces. "The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky but it is the only hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the brain yourselves." The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" The doctor quickly responded, "$5,000 for a male brain, and $200 for a female brain." The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, > > "Why is the male brain so much more?" The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've actually been used." Current Mood: amused (Comment on this)
