I'm still not anywhere close to 100% but I'm definitely feeling better. I'm walking and dancing--that's it at the moment.

I fixed my treadmill! Oddly enough...I really am still shocked every single time I turn it on and it actually works. lol

Took both country line dance lessons this past week and I managed brilliantly on Tuesday! I even practiced to some YouTube videos and was all vim and vigor when I showed up to dance class on Thursday where I absolutely tanked and SUCKED! lol No worries--I am having the best time and we have a substitute instructor right now. Just wasn't a big fan of kind of being called out for being bad on Thursday. Twice. I told the sub, "please, just go on and I'll catch up by the end of the song." And really, everything was brand new to me on Thursday. I recently learned that all of these older folks have been taking dance lessons together for YEARS into decades, but they were even lost on a few of the dances the sub presented, so I think they were new for everyone. I'm actually feeling kind of good in that respect, because I "get" some dances better than others, but it does make sense now that it seemed like I was the ONLY one lost on all of the dances when I first started taking lessons.

What are you all up to this weekend? Any races? Soccer matches? Hiking or biking adventures?

I'm back to dancing! Not as much on the walking or hiking this past week (treadmill woes and it's raining here...if it isn't storming tomorrow, I do hope to get out for a quick 2-miler in the neighborhood, though.) I'm taking country line dancing twice a week and I've been practicing those dances plus my Shimmy Mob belly dance choreography. I grew up being told that I was too clumsy to dance, so I'm just truly discovering it now. Hubs actually wants to take a ballroom or salsa class with me, so we're working on that, too. Those classes (or private lessons) won't begin until mid-October at the earliest. Full disclosure: I am not a fan of country music in the slightest, but. The line dances are SO. MUCH. FUN!

As far as diet, I'm doing a modified low carb diet and it's going well. I did lose a whole pound this week, but since I didn't really start watching the carbs until Wednesday, I'll take it.

I'm still alive! After I got sick in July, my health continued to deteriorate, and I found out that the illness depleted my Vitamin D levels until they were nearly non-existent. I'm starting to get those levels back up and have just enough energy to human a bit again.

I've been keeping up with line dance lessons when I can and I'm doing really well--actually have a couple of dances completely down.

I believe I will be signing paperwork to join a gym tomorrow! Outdoor pool, but DANCE CLASSES. In case you couldn't tell, my biggest fitness motivation is dance.

Been walking and hiking here and there. Walked with our two puppy boys in the Morton Pumpkin Festival Parade a couple of weeks ago. Hiked with my bestie when she was in town. I haven't been on top of the walking as much, as my treadmill died in a tragic power surge a few weeks ago, but I'm doing that when possible, too.

I always wear black yoga pants or leggings and a pretty top. I became enamored of Body By Brazil. I need nice high quality workout clothes.

I did long ago with Tamilee Webb's buns, thighs and abs of steel. All were surprisingly hard workouts.

You might as well work out

...or with a group or a friend?

Me...alone.

What made you decide to eat healthier or get back on an exercise routine? Did you grow up in a healthy family that emphasized healthy eating habits and regular exercise, or was it the opposite?
