GSTC2025 Input Form brandwatch.com - Dynamic December! In December 2024, Fiji's total arrivals via air reached 83,840, surpassing December 2023 by 1.2% with estimated earnings for the month totaling FJD $290M. Australia remained the top market with 42,642 visitors (51%), followed by New Zealand (20%) and the USA (11%). 78% of visitors were holiday travellers, with 9% visiting friends and relatives (VFR) which grew by 15%. The 30–49 age group represented 35% of arrivals. Total arrivals by air for the year reached 982,938, a 5.7% increase from 2023 and exceeding our target of 966,930. Adding over 80,000 cruise tourists, Fiji welcomed over 1 million visitors in 2024. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue building on these positive trends!

Key markets like Australia, New Zealand, and the USA led the way, with holiday arrivals up by 4%. The Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Health and Medical services are pleased to provide a positive update following the recent incident at a prominent resort on Coral Coast. After thorough investigations and toxicology reports, we can confirm that no illicit substances or methanol were found. All affected individuals, including six tourists and one local, have fully recovered and returned home. We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and hospitality, ensuring Fiji continues to be a safe and welcoming destination for travellers. As we approach the holiday season, we look forward to welcoming visitors and showcasing the beauty of our islands, culture, and the warmth of the Fijian people. Vinaka vakalevu!
