serves: makes 500ml
1 tbsp Bisto (gravy powder)
1 heaped tbsp Maizena (cornflower)
Water
juices from cooking meat (optional)
A 500ml or bigger glass jug.
Put the Bisto and Maizena in the jug.
Pout any cooking juice into the jug. (For fat free option avoid fatty juices)
Mix thoroughly.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes, remove and mix thoroughly.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes, remove and mix thoroughly.
Microwave on high for 1 minute, remove and mix thoroughly.
It should look like gravy at this point but stir it until it stops bubbling - it seriously needs to cool down at this point..
Microwave on high for 1 minute, remove and it is now ready to serve.
Now it may bubble over during the last minute (mine occasionally does) this just means it wasn't mixed enough before hand and was still too hot when it went back in.
If you need a thicker gravy add more Maizena at the start.
