Adventurers' Tales
Another tenday, another dish from the ever-enterprising Juniper Churlgo, the Forgotten Realms Wiki's very own wizard in the kitchen and author of Juniper's Companion to Venturesome Cookery. It's Ruth-Balls with Turmish Cream Sauce, with a familiar tale of trial-and-error in venturesome cookery.
“
This tenday, I bring you a story of shame, failure, and perseverance. This hin was under the weather and decided to make something quick and easy, so I settled on ruth-balls I once saw made in Lapaliiya. I once read in a highly reputable publication penned by none other than Volothamp Geddarm that ruth-balls and variations on the recipe are made in Tashalar, Westgate, and lovely Selgaunt, and in Waterdeep they are dipped in a warming spicy concoction they call Turmish cream sauce. My first attempt to shape these balls was a mushy disaster of chickpea and oil soup. My second attempt produced uniform morsels that held together well, but the mix ended up being too finely ground. But any disaster is a learning experience, and I can tell you exactly what I did wrong and what to look out for. So, my friends, let us begin.

Current Clack
Either you master the dungeon or the dungeon masters you.
- Well met, friends and wayfarers. We're afraid it's been a long time between clacks, but we've been hard at work on researching the lore, tidying the archives, and writing the articles, as well as on exciting things behind the scenes we look forward to showing you sometime. But no more hinting and time wasting, it's time for Current Clacks…
- Arodp88 toured Neverwinter, getting a good view from the Upland Rise, wandering down Waukeen Way, meeting Lord Hugo Babris, and visiting the grand Cathedral of Mystra—right before the eruption of Mount Hotenow ruined everything. Arodp88 escaped the devastation, but ran afoul of the Acolytes of Corruption.
- Artyom.pavlov ventured into the King's Forest in Cormyr to find the lost Temple of Mystra and had to battle through forest hags, swarmhorde spiders, and flesh renders. He was protected only by a Purple Dragon shield and a branch of vile curses, but got to celebrate with a bottle of champagne afterward.
- BadCatMan visited the sleepy, sheep-herding village of Fendarl's Gate to work on separating the Goblin Wars, Goblin Wars, Goblin Wars, and Goblin War, but found a stay at the so-called Imperial Palace an exercise in competitive eating with the High Knight-Emperor Eldebuck Thorm Fendarl, who demands everyone empty their plates. So much for the diet.
- We say oloré to new scribes: Hulkatron5000 tried some hermit berries; 5almon5amurai interviewed gnome foundry worker Zanner Toobin, while Beaker5277 celebrated the gnomish Communion of Laughter; NPC Stories checked out the Jhansczil noble family of Waterdeep; DragonAndCat played a game of dragonchess; Tars RDN visited the year −973 DR; Aidan TDev met the gold dragon Endandravaer; MarquisDCarabas had some woodwork done by Aida Camber, carpenter of Phandalin; and Sage of the Mines heard the tragic story of Dornal Silverhand, father of the Seven Sisters.
- We say well again to SilverTiger12, who added the dangerously seductive brachina or pleasure devil to the menagerie; to Vegepygmy, who was initiated into the faith of Semuanya via strange rites; and to Hashimashadoo, who was hunted in the night by a giant blood-sucking owl—the vampire hill giant Morg.
- Personal Demon, an original novella of dark fantasy set in the Forgotten Realms, has passed five chapters. It's the story of a man possessed—literally. How far will he go to be free, and what will be left of him after?
- As the Inner Sea pirates say, until next, may your sword be ever wet, and your bottom dry.

Wheloon was a small city in the kingdom of Cormyr, lying where the Way of the Manticore crossed the Wyvernflow River. A town sprawling across both sides of the river, it was sometimes nicknamed the "Jade Towers" for its ubiquitous green slate roof tiles. Wheloon grew up around the Wyvern Ferry crossing, linking Cormyr's two busiest trade routes, and becoming one of the kingdom's most prosperous and industrious towns. It was famous for its talented craftsfolk and entrepreneurs, who built boats and wagons, fashioned baskets, grew fruit and other foodstuffs, bred pets, and created cheap transport companies.
Though it once was the site of a battle with the Witch Lords and was one of those places conquered by the Lost King Gondegal, Wheloon oft-enjoyed only a small role in Cormyr's history, thanks to rulers like Lord Sarp Redbeard who worked for the good of Wheloon, rather than that of the crown. Unfortunately, it later hosted a false temple to Mystra, which was found to be a front for cultists of Shar, and was eventually turned into a prison city for Shar worshipers and Shadovar, and its cobbled streets came to be dominated by gangs of rogues.

Menzoberranzan is a Dungeons and Dragons computer game developed by DreamForge Intertainment and published by Strategic Simulations in 1994. It is a first-person role-playing game, similar in style to Eye of the Beholder and using the same engine as the previous Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession.
The game begins with the player controlling two heroes in a small village, which comes under attack by evil drow. They follow them into the Underdark to the mighty drow city of Menzoberranzan. Along the way, they encounter companions of varying races, and fight off foes from gnolls to yochlols and assemble the powerful Helm of Spiders. Notably, it is the first video game to star Drizzt Do'Urden.

- Marshals were honorable, martial leaders and tacticians from all walks of life, considered by many to be an essential facet of any army. They were generally fighters or paladins who excelled at leading others in battle, to the point where their very presence bolstered the fighting prowess of their forces.
- Giant dragonflies were known to prey on other warm-blooded creatures, such as humans and their like. With time and effort, however, female giant dragonflies could be tamed and trained as flying mounts. Males were far too territorial for such training.
- A bowl of watery death was a cursed device that drowned wizards who used it by shrinking them to the size of an ant and plunging them into its depths (relatively speaking). Unlucky mages who fell victim to this could avoid a watery death by casting enlarge on themselves.
- Valmorba was the undertaker and mortician of the Lower City Mortuary in Baldur's Gate, and a follower of Kelemvor, god of death. Her mortuary was overwhelmed when a wave of serial murders perpetrated by the Cult of Bhaal swept the city.
- Fador was one of the workers involved with the project to build a canal between the Sea of Fallen Stars and the Lake of Steam. Devor was loyal to the project's head engineer, Ivar Devorast, and did not rat him out when he returned to the canal site after being dismissed by Innarlith's corrupt ruler.
- Baunilorotha was the provisional capital of the giant realm of Kultaakarr in the Cold Lands. The settlement dated back to the ancient kingdom of Ostoria, and regained prominence as giants, led by a new generation of titan lords, moved back into the area when the Great Glacier began melting.
