Ok, so this community has just become a spam haven. I just went in and cleared out the recent spate of porn. Anyone feel strongly about keeping this community running? If no one chimes in I'll lock the doors and turn out the lights.

affordable (state law 40B) green homes! [Nov. 12th, 2008|03:53 pm]For Sale in Boston
Sawyer Hill EcoVillage, in beautiful Berlin, Mass., still has income-qualified (state law chapter 40B) homes which were not assigned in the state-run lottery. Prices are set based on a formula from the state; they require you only to put in a small down payment, and qualify for a mortgage for the remainder of the price: only 173,000fora3−bedroom,2−bathhome!Two−bedroomsare173,000 for a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home! Two-bedrooms are 173,000fora3bedroom,2bathhome!Twobedroomsare154,470; one-bedrooms are 138,000. Homes in the Mosaic Commons and Camelot neighborhoods of Sawyer Hill EcoVillage were designed by different architects and have slightly different neighborhood amenities. For detailed listing sheets, please visit our For Sale page. I'll be living in the Mosaic Commons neighborhood, in which every home features super-insulation and triple-pane windows; all except the second-floor 1BR flats are designed to be visitable by people with motion disabilities. Common facilities in our neighborhood Common House include a music room, kids' playroom, common laundry, and bike storage; a neighborhood workshop and organic garden are planned. For more information on Mosaic Commons, see Mosaic's Web site. Income-qualified homes are first come, first served, so if you're interested, follow up soon. To learn more, or to download an application and info packet, start at Sawyer Hill's 40B page. If you have questions about your eligibility, please call Stockard Engler Brigham, the 40B agent, at 617-876-5919, ext. 3. For free, confidential assistance with completing your application, please call Sawyer Hill's info line at 508-425-4080, or email info@sawyerhill.org. If you don't meet the income guidelines for a 40B home, don't worry — we still have a few available at market rates. :-) Mosaic has 2BR and 4BR units left; Camelot has a 2BR and a 3BR. Again, for detailed listing sheets, please see our For Sale page. For more information on Sawyer Hill EcoVillage, please see Sawyer Hill's home page. We look forward to meeting you!

[mood |calm]Hi all, your friendly (if tardy) maintainer here. I just pulled out those lovely spammy posts, anyone care to chime in about going to a moderated model for all postings? I'd rather not as I'm the only maintainer at the moment and it could greatly delay postings when I'm away from my computer, but I'm game if people prefer that. Any other comments re: the community? requests/hates/loves?

Discounted Hotel Rooms [Mar. 5th, 2008|09:51 am]For Sale in Boston
I know this isn't applicable to most people since you *live* in Boston, but it's worth a shot.I'm running an event next week and we have some extra rooms in the hotel block. The rate is $129 a night for the Hyatt Riverside in Cambridge and it's good for March 12-14th. It's a good rate for that hotel (it's a nice hotel and all of the rooms look out at the Cambridge River) so feel free to pass this link around to anyone who might be interested in taking advantage of the discounted rate.https://resweb.passkey.com/Resweb.do?mode=welcome_ei_new&eventID=58996Thanks.(Cross Posted to B0ston)
