Hi docora
This may be a gap in our documentation in that we don’t properly emphasis what type of account to use for the Windows install.
The Desktop App should be installed as a user with admin privileges, not as an actual Windows admin account.
Questions
- Are you installing as a user with admin privileges or as an actual admin account?
- If you are installing as an admin account, what happens if you instead install as user with admin privileges?
- If you are installing as an admin account, why? That is, what’s your goal with this path?
Depending on how the admin account is configured, you may be skipping UAC automatically in that mode. See Microsoft documentation here.
