Former Ring of Honor wrestler John Bedoya, better known as Xavier, has died.

A statement posted Sunday night on the Ring of Honor website said he passed away at the age of 43. A cause of death was not released.

Xavier made his debut in 2002 and became the ROH's second world champion, a title he held for 182 days.

He last wrestled in ROH in 2007 and retired from pro wrestling in 2011.

Ring of Honor said Xavier was set to come out of retirement in March, but those plans were canceled due to the pandemic.

NBC 10 airs Ring of Honor wrestling on weekends.

Sinclair Broadcast Group is the parent company of both Ring of Honor and NBC 10.
