La Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode rassemble les marques de mode privilégiant la création et le développement international. Elle vise à promouvoir la culture française de mode, où la Haute Couture et la création tiennent le premier rôle en se combinant en toutes circonstances savoir faire traditionnels et technologies contemporaines. Elle contribue à conforter Paris dans son rôle de capitale mondiale de la mode. La Fédération compte une centaine de membres, parmi lesquels figurent les marques les plus emblématiques de la scène mondiale. Elle comprend trois Chambres Syndicales (Haute Couture, Mode Féminine, Mode Masculine).

- On June 25, the official launch of the Product Environmental Footprint – Apparel & Footwear category rules was held in Brussels, bringing together European institutions, and industry stakeholders. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode welcomes this first version, the outcome of five years of collaborative work led by the European Commission and the Technical Secretariat. This harmonised methodology marks a significant step forward in the evaluation of the environmental performance of apparel and footwear products across Europe. It is based on a comprehensive life-cycle assessment, taking into account durability, repairability, use, packaging, distribution and end of life. The Fédération will remain engaged actively to the ongoing development of this framework and its supporting datasets, ensuring that the specificities of creative products and their longevity are fully recognised. This work also contributes to provides usefull ongoing insights in France, as a project of voluntary environmental labelling is coming into force, with a view to encouraging future convergence between national and European methodologies.
