🏅 It's a very special day for everyone watching the Paralympic Games! We could not be more proud or inspired by torchbearers Nathalie Labrégère & her twin brother Denis, and Pierre Landerretche who overcame immense physical challenges to fulfill their dreams, demonstrating the transformative potential of neurotechnology. These pioneers operated ORTHOPUS exoskeletons in Permobil smart wheelchairs using EMOTIV’s EPOC X EEG headsets, paired with Multimodal Cognitive AI Agents™ developed by Inclusive Brains as part of the revolutionary Prometheus BCI Project. Nathalie also used facial expressions as a BCI command, and Denis, who has autism, wore EMOTIV MN8 EEG earbuds to monitor his stress levels among the crowds. "Their achievements are a powerful reminder of how innovation and collaboration can break down barriers and improve lives," says Kim O., EMOTIV Chief Operating Officer. In a commitment to fostering inclusivity, EMOTIV, and its partners will donate exoskeleton arms and EEG headsets to nonprofits supporting individuals with paralysis. The Prometheus BCI, a mental command algorithm, will be made open-source, enabling broader access to this transformative technology. 💥🤖 Live from the stage of the United Nations’ AI for Good summit, we sent President Macron a special tweet and he replied expressing his support to #PrometheusBCI, the multimodal cognitive AI developed as part of Inclusive Brains’ partnership with Allianz Trade. 🧠This was not your usual tweet. Paul Barbaste, my co-founder, and inventor of Prometheus BCI, joined me on stage during my keynote to be … Hands off. Literally! 🙌 Our non-invasive multimodal cognitive AI enabled real-time processing of Paul’s brainwaves, head and eye movements to empower him to type the text, upload a picture and send the tweet. No voice command, no touch, no hand movements, no implant/surgery. Only Prometheus BCI in action. Later in the day, during the International Telecommunication Union Press conference, a thank you tweet was sent to President Macron with Prometheus BCI. 🦾 The tweet included a picture of a previous world premiere Inclusive Brains achieved a few weeks back in Marseille, France. Nathalie Labrégère, despite her motor and cognitive impairments, was able to participate in the Olympic Torch Relay after being selected by Région Sud - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Nathalie, who cannot perform voluntary movements, mind-controled an exoskeleton arm thanks to Prometheus BCI. It allowed her to extend her arm and reach the torch. An iconic moment. ♿️ Accessibility to AI and neurotech is key to shape a more inclusive future. This is why our partnership with Allianz Trade involves donating exoskeletons to non-for-profit organizations supporting people with disabilities and special needs, and for Prometheus BCI’s mental command algorithm to be made open source. 🔥 Jeux Olympiques 2024 - Moments de préparation émouvants chez Constructa ! Nous sommes heureux d'avoir accueilli Nathalie Labrégère et son frère jumeau Denis dans nos bureaux de La Marseillaise à Marseille, leur offrant un espace pour se préparer avant de porter la flamme olympique ce jeudi 9 mai. C'est un privilège pour nous d’avoir pu soutenir Nathalie dans cette étape importante. Nathalie, atteinte d’un handicap moteur cérébral, ambassadrice du projet #Prometheus et fière porteuse de la flamme, bénéficie de l’assistance technologique neurale et visuelle avancée de la startup marseillaise Inclusive Brains qui lui permet de lever le bras pour tenir la torche. Une première mondiale, un moment historique, un moment de double émotion, mêlant la fierté et le courage de Nathalie à notre joie collective.
