Michelin and Porsche AG are renewing their shared commitment to sustainable development and social impact within the natural rubber industry! The Cascade project, a pioneering initiative supporting smallholder rubber farmers, will now expand to reach 6,500 farmers in Indonesia over the next three years. This continued partnership aims to enhance the livelihoods of smallholder farmers by promoting #sustainable agricultural, #environmental and #social practices. By working closely with local communities, the first phase of the project has already made significant strides in enhancing the resilience of over 1,000 rubber smallholders in the province of Jambi in Sumatra, Indonesia. Today, the project aims to increase its impact through sustainable farming methods and income diversification through intercropping.

By removing concerning molecules like formaldehyde and selecting bio-based options, our resins offer similar performance to Phenolic resins without Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Another proof of our expertise in composite materials. 🌍 Solutions for Various Sectors 🌍 With a dedicated R&D team 🔬 and a new ecosystem of technical partners, Michelin ResiCare is developing a range of solutions for various markets: industry, transportation, building and construction, space and defense, electronics and electrical. Michelin and Brembo have signed a global agreement to combine their intelligent solutions, leveraging algorithms, expertise, and know-how related to brakes and tires. The collaboration brings together Brembo’s excellence in braking systems, vehicle modeling, and artificial intelligence with our leadership in tire modeling and algorithm development. This synergy allows for the continuous exchange of real-time data between the tire and the braking system. Michelin believes in the potential of RFID technology in tires and its contribution to tire circularity. What's RFID? A specific technology allowing tires to be identified and provide access to information throughout their lifecycle. Today, Michelin is engaged in several projects aimed at promoting this solution. An example? We recently announced that we will be working hand in hand with REGOM to advance the professionalization of the end-of-life tire sorting industry. This initiative builds on the success of the European Union's CIRPASS-2 project, leveraging the expertise of Michelin and its partners to test RFID technology for the implementation of a digital passport for tires. This will enable: - Design and promote more sustainable tires; - Provide easy access to tire information to better retread and recycle them; - Identify valorization channels to recover material from end-of-life tires.
