Cette solution est unique car elle est sans formol, ni isocyanate, ni résorcinol. After 15 years of development, Michelin is bringing this innovative breakthrough in thermoset resins from our lab to new applications under the MICHELIN ResiCare brand. 🌱 A Safer and More Sustainable Alternative 🌱 In line with the European Union's goals, Araminolic chemistry was designed as a safer and more sustainable alternative to traditional Phenolic chemistry. By removing concerning molecules like formaldehyde and selecting bio-based options, our resins offer similar performance to Phenolic resins without Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Another proof of our expertise in composite materials. 🌍 Solutions for Various Sectors 🌍 With a dedicated R&D team 🔬 and a new ecosystem of technical partners, Michelin ResiCare is developing a range of solutions for various markets: industry, transportation, building and construction, space and defense, electronics and electrical. - [ResiCare at the 6th European Forum on Endocrine Disruptors] Last week, MICHELIN ResiCare was invited to share its journey at the European Commission’s #EDForum. We discussed our commitment to replacing #MostHarmfulChemicals like #Resorcinol in our adhesive resins—a mission that led to real-world success with 70 million tires produced using our innovative resin solution.🚗 "What challenges did you face in your substitution process?" Virginie Roux, representing ResiCare, outlined: - #Technical Challenges: Meeting the high-performance standards our clients rely on. - #Sourcing: Replacement substances weren’t available on a large scale, so we chose to develop our own molecules, at industrial scale. - #Market Preparation: Finding pioneers partners ready to invest in a new, most valuable & sustainable technology—more costly initially than a 80-year-optimized solution—was crucial.
