2005 Battlestar Galactica Frack U Fest (original) (raw)

Hey all!

This is just a quick update on what's going on. We've been having eratic computer troubles for the last week, first ivy_says and then me so we haven't posted any of the rules or the challenge for the first round of the icontest. Here they are now!

Icons
As one of our aims is to promote Slash in BSG (because we love it) the first icon theme is 'boy-love'.

We want any icon (usual lj standards <40k and 100x100px) that you care to make that celebrates boy-love on BSG. Helo/Tyrol, Apollo/Gaius, Gaius/Gaeta, Tigh/Adama, Billy/Gaeta, Zarek/Apollo - any pairing or any idea you have. If you're not sure, post it and we'll let you know if it will fit or not.

We will close submissions on the 25th Midnight-ish, Eastern Australian time (+10GMT) and put up a poll which will be open until the 27th. The next challenge and the winners will be announced on the 28th.

At this stage we'll limit the icons up to three per person and if we get heaps of takers we'll rework it for the next round. Submit your icons to this post and we'll keep them hidden until after the contest ;). Please don't use your icon/s until after the 28th.

Fic
The people who have mailed us for fic challenges have been added to the challenge page here. If you haven't signed up for something go and look and email us at [frack dot u dot fest at gmail dot com] with your selection. Don't forget that you can choose something that somebody else has taken.

And if you write three or more stories, or enter an icon in each challenge and write a story, you'll get added to our honour roll and get a nifty graphic you can put up where ever you like.

I have started on my first story, Cally/Kara, to get it rolling and it'll hopefully be ready for beta'ing pretty soon.
