So I feel like I should give a brief mun update because I've severely been MIA on LJ lately. For those who follow me on Twitter or Tumblr will know that basically the last year has been pretty craptastic. Last September I got sick with really bad pneumonia that included fun pleurasy. The recover for that was 2+ months, which ended up being nearly 6 months once I got done with 3 battles with the flu and one bought of bronichitis *groan*.

This year? I lost my desktop computer which finally decided to bite the dust. I've a new computer but haven't been able to use it because.. Shoulder surgery which I had in October. I'm basically back to being able to RP- yay for no more sling!- but I'll probably be easing my way back here. I can't use my new desktop yet so I'm limited to shared highspeed net on my laptop. Anywho I'll do what I can to try to be a little more active with Linda on Twitter and here as I can.

I will not be online regularly starting tomorrow at least through Sunday. My grandmother is very close to dying, and I am going out of town to see her. My sadness knows no bounds, and it is drowning out my muses. I will try when I can, but I do not know exactly when I will be able to write again. I apologize to everyone waiting for a reply from me.

So, Rick for some reason wants to have a Halloween party, potentially one involving the courts potentially moving forward several things I've been planning that I never really got around to doing because I've been

busy. I need to confirm some of these, but I would also like to see what people's thoughts are on these. So you know, it would be a thing for the Fae courts, but it would also be open for all since Rick is (trying to at least) be a good king. Assuming it will be where I think it would be, it would be public grounds although it would be a place designed for Unseelie who feed on human energy to go so they can feed while being monitored to keep fatalities low.

So, I'll try to post updates here, but anyone else that has thoughts feel free to post here.

Edit 1: To be clear, this is intended to be a costume party, so please take that into consideration.

Okay, let's try this again. Life got a little crazy hectic for awhile, and it still is. Hopefully, I'm used to it by now. Long story short: I'm working more hours (yay!), had to put down our 12-year-old border collie (boo!), got a new puppy (yay!), and then DragonCon happened (yay!).

That being said, I'm going to attempt (again) to write more with Nat and the Fae plot stuff. That will be my main community focus for awhile. Hill is still around if needed, but I'm going to be concentrating more on Nat and her Knighthood. Unless it completely borks someone up, I'm moving her tapping/training to the present instead of trying to backdate everything ever. I'm also using the idea of pixies and pixie dust being sold on the black market as a way to explain her being busy for so long, and is how she got on the Fae radar. Anyone/everyone is welcome to dip their toes into that idea if they'd like. The case won't be solved for awhile (if ever).

The rumors of my demise... yeah, yeah, you know the rest.

Anyway, after months of dealing with a fairly debilitating case of sciatica that had me in tears more than once, I'm finally on the mend. Sitting for more than five minutes no longer causes me excruciating pain, and I can (at last) walk straight. Yay, anti-inflammatories. I'm probably at about 97-98% of where I was six months ago, and am hoping that PT will help me get the rest of the way there. Part of my left foot is still numb, but I'll take it considering the fact I couldn't even get out of bed a few weeks ago.

Needless to say that it's been months since I've read Nat's flist or tagged anyone with her, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things soon. I apologize for dropped threads/being offline since forever. If there's anything you want to continue, just drop me a comment or PM me.

Putting the mod hat on for this since I've yet to get a King Rick icon(anyone who'd like to do that feel free, and I'll love you forever).

So, thanks to Fi and a muse mix up, I had an idea for the courts, more specifically the knights and those who joined in(which for this would probably be more the Unseelie court and anyone else who took on a royal title).

So the thought is that those holding titles of the Fae courts, be it knight or royal would be affected by said title. For the knights, they probably would reflect the element they represent, with the Seelie's reflecting the lighter aspects of said elements, while the Unseelie's would be reflecting the darker aspects, while for the royalty, the Seelie's would potentially be kinder and... not really sure what other word to use, while the Unseelie's would potentially be darker and not as kind.

Two things would affect this of course, the first being how much they use their title's power, so the more they use it, the more they'd be influenced by it. The second would be their emotions, with the less emotional control they have, the more it'd start to seep in and take hold in them, so for example the angrier someone got, the more they may be influenced by the power of their title.

That being said, I'd like to put a list of how the, for lack of better words 'mantles' of the various knights and royals would affect each of them. I will put up the thoughts I had for each of the knights and people here, so we have a central place for all of it, as well as an area to suggest how each person may be affected. Nothing is permanent, and can change as the muns see fit.

Please note, I'm only putting in those who would have joined, thus, the Unseelie court will look bigger because their court has had more people added from the original Fae's.

Also, please be aware that it is possible to fight the control of the mantles or it doesn't need to be as influenced as others, so do not think that your muse needs to go to the full extent just because of this, or that they cannot go back.

So I'm having yet another surgery on Thursday morning. I'm not sure how long I'll be out of commission, doc said to take a week off of work so I'm going with that.

Also, I'm putting Sammy on hiatus. I'm just not hearing her and it's too hard to try and force her to wake up.
