This is Judith, popping in to say that I don't know about anyone else, but I think the site needs to be updated to include new personae. I've personally added four new characters to the Fallen Stars list, and I still only have the first two on the site. I personally look at any persona sheet for the ones people want to co-post with, and I find it a little annoying to sit there and look on the member list for a persona, only to not find said persona on the site.

Looking at the persona sheets comes in very handy whenever my green girls rise to mate, as I like to choose the best male among the chasers for catching. I just wanted to know when any updating of the site would happen.

Alrighty, I've got the approval boys and girls, Newsletter for FSoP will soon begin to get geared up for its return to FSoP! We've gone three years without a regular running Newsletter for the club...so its time for its return. In addition to it being posted on regular FSoP chat lines, I will attempt to begin posting the newsletter onto the comms as well as a extra means of making information about the club available to everyone and potential newbies as well. We need to strut our stuff and show just what a awesome place FSoP really is! Lets roll!

Alright everyone, I've been getting reports from other comms across LJ and fancomms and journals precisely this morning that LiveJournal has started being stupid again. There have been deletions for comms, journals, and entries for unexplained reasons, however, the article I'm posting is the reason I'm asking everyone to please when it comes to mentioning anything involving flights, the results of mating flights if you catch what I mean, or anything along the lines of relationships to please put it behind a friend lock so only members of the community can view it. This is only temporary till I can launch a formal protest of these actions against fandom and this whole mess is past. This is just a safety precaution so we don't provoke whoever has the big delete key to leave FSoP and our establishment here alone.

If matters like this are not cleared up, and Livejournal persists in these undo deletions, I'll seriously consider moving this comm to Greatest Journal next, I was already considering building a comm for FSoP there. While Pern isn't quite as bad as some of the things in mention in the article, I'm playing safe for our own sake and spreading the warning.

Please be cautious till this matter is worked out, it may or may not affect us, but it is much safer to play safely.

Alrighty everyone, the results are in and I am proud to present the first Pern FST to FSoP: Upon Dragon Wings: A tribute to Pern album. A song in this has been tributed to Vic in his honor as well.

Its a collection of 13 songs, all fully credited to the original artists and purchased legally, but I have made them available for the whole club to enjoy. There available in the download link I'm providing from Megauploads.com, should the link die or go bad, please tell me so.

I hope everyone appreciates this, I put alot of time and concentration into this, and hope should everyone likes this, there will be a second music tribute made with a little more contributions made by everyone. Many thanks to Anja and Stacey for their contributions to this project.

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Stacey and if your already a member of FSOp you'll already know me and my small army of personas scattered across our corner of FSOP Pern. If you don't know me, you soon will. I'm always excited by new opporutnities to get my many characters involved. As my profile says im an avid supporter of flits and chromatic dragons, neither get enough credit or attention in my book! :D

I am pleased to announce that FSoP is fully stocked in places to communicate, kick back and relax with other members, the last but certainly not the least, location just went up at Myspace and is now functional if not as complete as the Livejournal Comm we are enjoying here. It'll get there, but now everyone has maximum access to other fellow FSoP members, so lets take advantage of these tools, and get busy and active and draw in new blood! Lets get our home back to the way it was!

Alrighty folks, I've decided to pull together a FST (fan sound track) and dedicate it to Pern with a few tributes to different aspects of Pern with two or three songs already in mind for it, but I would love to extend the oppurtunity to contribute to this, if you have a song or two you'd love to have added to it, please feel free to contact me with a likely title and mp3 if you have it. If you would like to join in on this, please feel free to contact me, but contact me quickly, I plan on starting work on this pretty soon, so please get into contact with me asap. These all can be found on the main website, but for the sake of convience, I have listed individual pages to put everything about Fallen Stars within easy access.

Greetings to those who will at some point in the future read this and who are trying to decide just what is this community is about and what is trying to be done here.

First off, I'm Karen, an authorized member of the board of directors, more commonly and simply, the BoD, to build, maintain, and run this Livejournal community for a longstanding club called Fallen Stars of Pern, that has many dedicated writers and fans of Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern. Its a medium, close knit group, looking for new members and a place for members of the club to meet and discuss ideas, plots, anything really.

This for those who prowl the net looking for a good group to join, but often only get a web page and none to little interaction before deciding if they would like to join a group or not. This comm is an attempt to give interested individuals and new members a chance to ask questions, get some interaction from the members (if nothing else at least me) of Fallen Stars before deciding whether or not to join and make all information and resources available to those who would like to join the merry band.

For those who are already members of Fallen Stars, this is your place to come together, throw out ideas with one another, hang out, if you know the answer to a question someones asked and want to add a mark or two of thoughts, this is your place to do so on Livejournal with other members of FSoP.

Taking care of this place is my job and over the next couple days I will be uploading the rules and basic information about the club and archiving it so that the basics will be available on both the website and in the comm itself for those looking to join and a point of referrence for those who are already members.
