Well a lot of women who do that stuff say that they do it "for themselves" because it makes them "feel good" or "more self confident" or whatever, which is a load of crap because the only reason anyone has those kinda of reactions and feelings towards that stuff is because they've been brainwashed into it from birth but refuse to acknowledge it.It can be pretty frustrating and VERY common so I can see why a feminist might automatically judge you as the sort I've described above.Personally I think it's a pretty petty difference of opinion to get upset about, though. Agreed.I like pretty things, and dressing up. it makes me feel like i am in control of what i choose to do (whcih i am ) because i can dress to look/be what i choose.it's just re-iterating that fact of control, but some people can see it as a case in point of women having no control over themselves, because they have to dress a certain way to have attention brought to them as an object which they can then use as a kind of power control, but really they're just a slave to the undying opinions of what a girl or woman should look like.wow. that was one long run-on sentence. i apologize. |
