Our generational task is not simply reduced to being anti or pro-gay. Our generational task involves an agonizing walk with our communities whose context is of premature death and whose challenge takes the form of the Gospel of Life that calls us to be the church, the body of Christ, brothers and sisters of all people created by God, which includes those who self-identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community but who are suffering the same miseries like anyone else in this context.
Moving beyond a two-point western ethics into a full-blown life ethics in the American Global South requires an epistemic and strategic delinking from certain ultra-fundamentalist and ultra-liberal evangelical sectors of the United States and their global branches. It requires moving away from surrogacy, that is, from being used as bodies and bullets for a war that is not about us and for us but kills us anyway.

But most of the time, we do not find that time! As a result, we continue in ministry and life feeling a bit burdened because of these unresolved pressing questions. Here is a brief articulation of the Word of God for Today's ministers and theologians dealing with pressing issues inspired by Ray Anderson's The Shape of Practical Theology

Imitatio Christi is reappropriated by way of Desert Spirituality, Christopraxis, and decoloniality. Sensing in the Spirit, Orthopathos, is reimagined as "sentipensar" (sensuous reason) —an indigenous knowledge ecology. Following the conceptual map of García-Johnson's Probiotic Theology (Nuevo Mundo Theology), the themes are not organized systematically but rather rhizomatically. Aimed at communal and personal transformation, the most effective section for readers comes at the end, with the personal journal prompts.

Loneliness is a symptom of unhappiness. I was first reminded of that one day when listening to the American evangelist Billy Graham. He insisted that North Americans were feeling lonelier than ever, despite being surrounded by wealth, commodities, and the freedom of religion. That observation has kept me thinking for a couple of decades. Graham's observation, however, emerged from his evangelistic passion and sympathy toward his general audience.

Through comparative case studies, the first phase of this research examines the journeys of sixteen graduates of Centro Latino to explore the factors which impacted their capacity to implement holistic mission strategies in and with their ministries. As part of this process, this study reviews the roles played by culture, context and theological education in helping or hindering their efforts. The second and third phases of the research involves collaborating with the research subjects to develop and carry out a pilot program of continuing education activities through Centro Latino designed to increase their capacity to carry out holistic mission. Using a theoretical framework which integrates research on the impact of theological education on ministry practice, research on the Hispanic context and corresponding strategies for spiritual and practical formation for holistic mission, this study analyzes the results of the pilot program to arrive at recommendations for Centro Latino in particular and Hispanic theological education programs in general for equipping evangelical/Pentecostal Hispanic immigrant pastors for holistic mission
