This emotion is so much more powerful than the green eyed monster called Jealousy
It is foul, painful
A heavy burden weighing on any heart that is not enforced with sheets and plates of metal
It is pathetic, timeless
This emotion is so much more elusive to us as a human race
Having forgotten the needs of others
Remembering only our own selfish desires and questing the rights of others
This emotion is called guilt
It is not love nor hate nor even fear
Guilt which is so powerful
Any being who's heart is too weak to fight it falls before it
Guilt which draws tears to dry eyes and wreaks pride into twisted scraps of hatred
Guilt which brings us out of our safety into our hell
Either to fix what has made us guilty to our own eyes or assuage our greedy souls
Our greedy crimes and innocent thoughtlessness leads to feeling this emotion
This emotion that is as powerful as every other emotion
This emotion is guilt
And guilt shall one day drive me to my grave
