The study examined the effect of time management strategy on organizational survival in Bakeries ... more The study examined the effect of time management strategy on organizational survival in Bakeries in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. The cross-sectional survey research design method was adopted for the study. The 183 employees of the Bakeries make up the study's population. The sample size is 126 employees selected from the total population. To gather the necessary data, the researcher used a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and descriptive statistics. Findings show that 44% of the change in organizational survival was brought about by the dimensions of time management practice. Prioritizing work task has positive effect on organizational survival (β = 0.482, 0.000 < 0.05). Goal-oriented plans has positive effect on organizational survival (β = 0.318, 0.000 < 0.05). The study concluded that time management practice has a positive effect on the organizational survival of Bakeries in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Goal-oriented plans, and prioritizing work task as variables of time management practice has a positive effect on organizational survival. The study recommended amongst others that for employees to succeed in the organization they should be made to understand the significance of goal-setting since it guides all work toward accomplishing broad objectives on schedule.

The study basically explored the effect of role oriented culture and achievement oriented culture... more The study basically explored the effect of role oriented culture and achievement oriented culture on organizational citizenship behaviour in selected commercial banks in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The population across the eight (8) commercial banks selected for this study comprised 422 employees ranging from top to lower level staff (Source; Human resource Department),out of which a sample size of 205 staff was determined using Taro Yamen's sample size determination formula. The study adopted the simple random sampling techniques and cross-sectional Survey research design method was applied in data capture. The statistical techniques used comprised frequency, correlation and regression analysis. The findings revealed that role oriented culture and Achievement oriented culture have significantly positive effects on organizational citizenship behaviour with (β= .601,<P0.01) and (β= .348,<P0.01) respectively. It was concluded that the role oriented culture inclined organization has a structure and system that guarantees protection of employees and organizational stability, achievement oriented culture arouse the employees' desire to support and care for each other, which is linked to the altruistic aspect of organizational citizenship behaviour. It was recommended that organizations should come up with policy that eschew such conducts that may hamper organizational citizenship behaviour such as abusing or harassing colleagues, insults and bullying, favoritism and lack of trust and esteem equal and fair dealings, politeness, courtesy and mutual respect, promotes employees' participation and involvement in decision making and create an enabling culture that encourages innovation. This study, having accomplished its set goal can be said to have significantly contributed to knowledge. The main concern of an organization is the need to encapsulate strategies for the transformation ... more The main concern of an organization is the need to encapsulate strategies for the transformation of the implicit knowledge to overt knowledge so as to derive greater benefit from the organization's intellectual capital. Knowledge management is the comprehensive means of organizing, transferring, locating and utilizing the information and proficiency in an organization. The general purpose of this research is to examine the effect of knowledge management practices on competitive advantage in selected organizations in Nigeria. The study made use of a sample of214 staff from Banks and telecommunications operators in the Lagos State, Nigeria. A cross sectional survey that consist of drawing a sample of elements from the population of interest was adopted, and the statistical tool used comprised frequency, correlation as well as regression analysis. The findings indicated that information technology application had the highest positive effect on competitive advantage. Secondly, it shows that organizational learning had no significant relationship with competitive advantage except information technology application, knowledge creation, and intellectual capital asset. It is concluded that information technology application is a vital tool for a successful organization and it is often heavily depended upon as the determinant of success in business. This study therefore recommends that knowledge should not only be embedded in documents or archives, but in organizational procedures, norms, practices, processes and cultures.
