Inspection is an important procedure for the extraction industry, as it guarantees the quality of... more Inspection is an important procedure for the extraction industry, as it guarantees the quality of the final product. The granularity of inspections ranges from the simplest of supplier components to the construction and assembly of highly complex systems like an oil rig's piping assembly. During this procedure, qualified professionals hired generate a series of documents that attest to the quality of the components used. Despite the evaluation of the quality inspectors, there is still an administrative procedure that analyzes the inspection reports generated and assesses whether all necessary documents are present. The present work presents a semi-automatic mechanism that helps inspectors in evaluating the completeness and conformity of documents, in order to make the process less costly. Resumo: A inspeçãoé um procedimento importante para a indústria de extração, visto que ela garante a qualidade do produto final. A granularidade das inspeções varia desde o mais simples dos componentes de fornecedores até a construção e montagem de sistemas altamente complexos como o conjunto de tubulações de uma plataforma de petróleo. Durante esse procedimento, profissionais qualificados contratados geram uma série de documentos que atestam a qualidade dos componentes utilizados. Apesar da avaliação dos inspetores de qualidade, ainda existe um procedimento administrativo que analisa os relatórios de inspeção gerados e avalia se todos os documentos necessários estão presentes. O presente trabalho apresenta um mecanismo semi-automático que auxilia os inspetores na avaliação da completude e conformidade dos documentos, para tornar o processo menos custoso.

Therefore, the use of technologies can help in reducing the amount of product applied, which results in product savings and aggregate environmental impacts reduction. In order to study and better understand the problem, an experimental apparatus was developed with lowcost equipment for surveying parameters and behavior of spraying systems. In this context, this work addresses the dynamic modeling of a complete automated spraying system and the dynamic analysis involved. Resumo: A aplicação tradicional de agrotóxicos tem sido motivo de preocupação tanto para ambientalistas, quanto por parte dos agricultores. Portanto, o uso de tecnologias pode ajudar na redução da quantidade de produto aplicado, resultando tanto em economia de produto quanto em redução dos impactos ambientais agregados. Visando estudar e entender melhor o problema, foi desenvolvido um aparato experimental com equipamentos de baixo custo para levantamento de parâmetros e comportamento dos sistemas de pulverização. Nesse contexto, esse trabalho aborda a modelagem dinâmica de um sistema completo de pulverização automatizado e a análise dinâmica envolvida.

Foi desenvolvida uma API, empacotada como um contêiner, com rotas capazes de prover essas funcionalidades num sistema de gerenciamento de documentos da indústria extrativista.

Multi-agent systems (MASs) are distributed and complex software that demand specific software eng... more Multi-agent systems (MASs) are distributed and complex software that demand specific software engineering features. Testing is a critical phase when validating software, and it is also difficult to conceive and execute. Designing systems under a multi-agent paradigm is even more difficult because of properties such as autonomy, reactivity, pro-activity, and social skills. Any multi-agent system has at least three main dimensions: the individual and social levels and communication interfaces. Considering an approach for testing a dimension specifically, we deal with the social level as an organizational model in this paper. It imposes some restrictions on agents’ behavior through a set of behavioral constraints. In this sense, an error in the organization can occur when the allocated resources are not enough for executing plans and reaching goals. Among the activities of this process, the evaluation of inspection reports stands out. The reports attest whether a given equipment meets the minimum requirements for its use, usually defined by manufacturing standards defined by regulatory institutions. Consulting, checking and analyzing these printed reports is a very costly procedure. The present work presents a method and a prototype that implements the mapping of the result of pipe inspection reports in construction and assembly databooks of the extractive industry in a relational data model. The automatically extracted structured data models contributed significantly to the increase in quality and selectivity of industrial inspection review processes. Resumo: O processo de inspeçãoé um dos mais importantes da indústria extrativa. Entre as atividades deste processo destaca-se a avaliação de relatórios de inspeção. Os relatórios atestam se um determinado equipamento atende aos requisitos mínimos para sua utilização, usualmente definidos por normas de fabricação definidas por instituições regulamentadoras. A consulta, verificação e análise desses relatórios impressosé um procedimento muito custoso. O presente trabalho apresenta um método e um protótipo que implementa o mapeamento do resultado de relatórios de inspeção de tubulação em databooks de construção e montagem da indústria extrativa em um modelo relacional de dados. Os modelos de dados estruturados extraídos automaticamente contribuíram significativamente para o incremento de qualidade e a seletividade dos processos de revisão da inspeção industrial.

This paper presents a study about multiagent systems insertion in this domain, where the goal is to map the state of the art about these applications and to explore new contexts where resources distribution, logical or geographical, are not a problem, but it can be seen as part of the solution.

Nowadays, problems demands new computational paradigms to solve them. New computational systems m... more Nowadays, problems demands new computational paradigms to solve them. New computational systems must consider features which before was not. Among these new features is the distributed nature of some systems. Nevertheless, even problems with a centralized nature has so high complexity that the best solution is to break them in small blocks. To deal with this problems, multiagent systems (SMA) and agents are seen as an excellent alternative as a framework to model, specify and codify solutions. However, there is not a standard framework to aid in building such systems. In this paper, it is proposed a framework based on a specific Petri Net to model, specify and codify the knowledge since the social level of the system until the agents reactive levels. This approach is based on a explicit separation between the knowledge level and the mechanisms which will manipulate it. The Petri net model proposed presents an implied specification language which permit to deal with any knowledge representation formalisms, since production rules, ontology or even database structures. Besides that, the Petri net proposed has tools to analyse and validate the system about issues like redundancy, deadlocks and conditions associated to agents tasks.

Esta atividade envolve contratar profissionais com habilitações diversificadas, incluindo técnicas de ensaios não destrutivos. Com o objetivo de facilitar a busca por profissionais qualificados em diferentes órgãos certificadores, este artigo apresenta a construção de uma API RESTful que implementa um serviço Web de consulta por inspetores usando similaridade textual. A API desenvolvida será utilizada na construção de diferentes sistemas computacionais em uma arquitetura de microsserviços.

This work aims to identify the concept of gamification and its applicability specifically geared towards Engineering courses. To achieve this goal, a bibliographic review was carried out in two stages. The first one looked for studies that addressed the definition of techniques based on games in general, their relation with the teaching process and possibilities of use in educational environments, whether virtual or not. The use of teams of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles for visual inspection tasks is a promising rob... more The use of teams of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles for visual inspection tasks is a promising robotic field. The images captured by different robots can be also to aid in the localization/navigation of the fleet. In a previous work, a distributed localization system was presented based on the use of Augmented States Kalman Filter through the visual maps obtained by the fleet. In this context, this paper details a system for on-line construction of visual maps and its use to aid the localization and navigation of the robots. Different aspects related to the capture, treatment and construction of mosaics by fleets of robots are presented. The developed system can be executed on-line on different robotic platforms. The paper is concluded with a series of tests and analyses aiming at to system validation.

This paper presents a methodology based on planning and on high level Petri nets to the knowledge acquisition process of such systems. This methodology was applied in the implementation of a robot soccer team for the Robocup simulator.

Os relatos de estudos de caso relacionados demonstram que, ao se trabalhar com gamificação, a construção do processo avaliativo é problemática. A partir das concepções depreendidas da fundamentação teórica, foi idealizada a aplicação baseada no modelo proposto. Para a realização do estudo de caso, foram compostos dois grupos a partir de um total de onze estudantes de Engenharia de Computação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG): grupo controle, que realizou as tarefas utilizando a forma padrão da disciplina; e grupo experimental, que utilizou o modelo elaborado nesta pesquisa. In this context, this article proposes to implement an architecture for embedded intelligent agents based on CPS. For this, it is proposed a classification of hardware suitable for boarding this agent. Through this classification a device and initial testing of the agent is selected using the MTConnect standard, which currently presents itself as a potentially efficient standard for this application given the guarantees of some communication requirements. Trying to guarantee some level of correctness for multiagent systems (MAS) is a hard task once we... more Trying to guarantee some level of correctness for multiagent systems (MAS) is a hard task once we are dealing with systems that inherently has properties such as autonomy, reactivity, pro-activity, and social skills. The social dimension of a MAS can be described with an organizational model, where agents are structured using concepts like groups, roles and must obey some norms. It would be useful to dimension how many tests are necessary to validate an organizational model as a metric for validation and verification processes. In this paper, we propose a method to assess the testability of an organizational model specified with \(\mathcal {M}\)oise. Using a graphical process based on Coloured Petri Nets (CPN), the method indicates the number of test cases necessary to validate a \(\mathcal {M}\)oise model. In a broad view, the obtained results are an important metric to evaluate the complexity of validation of a social dimension of a MAS.

It would be useful to dimension how many tests are necessary to validate an organizational model as a metric for validation and verification processes. In this paper, we propose a method to assess the testability of an organizational model specified with \(\mathcal {M}\)oise. Using a graphical process based on Coloured Petri Nets (CPN), the method indicates the number of test cases necessary to validate a \(\mathcal {M}\)oise model. In a broad view, the obtained results are an important metric to evaluate the complexity of validation of a social dimension of a MAS.
