mandrake vs. the snake (original) (raw)
Things of the recent:
I continue to need a haircut badly. SPLIT ENDS ARE CONSUMING MY HEAD.
Ryan Reynolds was cast as Hal Jordan in Green Lantern. Reasons I disapprove:
-He'd make a better Kyle
-HE'S ALREADY DEADPOOL
-THIS BETTER NOT INTERFERE WITH HIM MAKING A DEADPOOL MOVIE
-If he's gonna play for both teams, HE SHOULD PLAY FLASH. Not GL.I have been drinking waaay too much caffeine lately. Looking forward to the caf headaches when I run out of money for coffee and soda. But it helps me be awake at the right times of day.
Time for more geeking out over Rictor and Shatterstar! Page from the upcoming issue: http://comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?pid=3025&pg=2 I like how it's just like, "Yep, still makin' out. And now back to Cortex with your regularly scheduled plot progression."
Also, apparently excitement kills brain cells. When I found out the new X-Factor issue was due out Wednesday, my first thought was OH SHIT I GOTTA GET BACK TO LANSING SO I CAN GO GET IT FROM 21ST CENTURY COMICS. After a slight delay, I realized, it is possible and in fact likely that there are comic book stores in the metro Detroit area. Which requires a teeny bit less gas. (There aren't actually any in my city as far as I can tell, though. Looks like I'll be going a couple towns over.)
- I went to a show of zydeco music. One of the dudes was playing the washboard, and had a wearable washboard. I thought it made him look like he was a bad 50's sci-fi movie robot. So I just pretended he was being the resident dancing robot instead of actually playing in instrument. He looked like Steve Buscemi. And hey, if I were designing a robot, I would totally make it look like Steve Buscemi wearing a washboard. Just sayin'.
(random picture of dude with washboard, not the same guy)
