_10:12 am_[spyral64] | Hey there! Wow, this place is absolutely dusty. It's been A WHOLE DECADE since someone actually posted here.I'm still kinda new to Yuna and I found her by accident last April 2019 at a website called animegalleries.org.I'd like to have the merch someday but it's so hard...Just wanted to know if people are still here, and if you guys still care about Yuna.Do you even wish to see a complete reboot of the series someday? That's all I have to say for now. _2:53 pm_[agentnr42] | Resurrection Hi from deep bright little Latvia!I accidentally found this place and decided to write something even if this is a grave.First of all the biggest thanks goes to Mika Akitaka - the creator and designer of the Yunaverse. I found a small interview here: http://www.ex.org/3.4/08-feature_akitaka1.htmlThanks to Chisa Yokoyama - for giving the voice to Yuna.... tons of more thanks including You...Thanks to those who still had Yuna games in stock. I was able to buy all 3 main Yuna games...Straight to useful places!!!----------------------------Read some history here:http://www.angelfire.com/anime4/frauleinyuna/yuna3continuity.htmlhttp://www.crystaltokyo.com/~yuna/story.htmlGet the 1st game at:http://www.mandarake.co.jphttp://www.classicplastic.net/dvgi/forsale.htmPC Engine(aka Turbo Grafix 16/TurboDuo) or remake for Sega Saturn(better). The beginning of everything. Yuna meets Elnar, Liavelt and Ryudia-the previous Savior of Light.Get the 2nd game at:http://www.mandarake.co.jp (out of stock)http://www.classicplastic.net/dvgi/forsale.htmThere was one at www.ebay.comReleased for PC Engine only. The only one from Mandarake is bought by me.Yuna meets Yuri and Erika. This is the most entertaining game by my opinion. It has animation, funny fights, Polylina and Princess Mirage!(http://www.angelfire.com/anime4/frauleinyuna/yuna3cp_mirage.html)Watch 5 OVAs.Get the 3rd game at:Released for Sega Saturn ("Lightning Angel") and Playstation ("Final Edition").The only copy I found somewhere for PS was bought by me. I am sure there can be found more, it's the 2nd game that is hard to find even in Japan...This game continues story after OVAs.Translation for this game is available athttp://www.angelfire.com/anime4/frauleinyuna/yuna3.html (dialogs)http://www.gamefaqs.com(NOTE: all games are in japanese only, there will never be english versions)Also don't expect too much from these games. First two are more like digital manga but it is still the greatest fun (R.I.P. FFX) and all characters have original voices! The 3rd game is more complicated RPG where every of 20+ characters have unique special attacks and so on. You can get some description and menu translations at http://www.gamefaqs.comEmulators to play these games on PC:PC Engine: EMU= Magic Enginehttp://www.magicengine.comWorks perfectly! if configured correctly: you must have "SYSCARD3.PCE" file in the folder where emulator is installed.Sega Saturn: EMU= SSFhttp://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~phantasy/ssf/index.htmlAlternatively I was able to play it also on "GiriGiri" emu.Minor emulation bugs not affecting gameplay. Also you need to find Sega Saturn BIOS.Playstation: EMU= ePSXehttp://www.epsxe.comI use "P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver v1.16" video plugin with stretching method "Super2xSal unstretched" and 800x600 screen res.and "P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver v1.8" audio plugin.Minor emulation bugs not affecting gameplay. And finally get soundtracks:Most important are:G.F.Yuna Music Wave 1 (2CDs - OVA1 and Game 2)G.F.Yuna Music Wave 2 (1CD - OVA2)http://www.animeniacs.com (I got from here and it seems there are more copies available) http://www.animemultimedia.comuu-g-uuuuu somebody hears me?Ou, it doesn't matter... but it's always a pleasure to meet Yuna's fans even at this cemetery! _6:44 pm_[pinksaltines] | New! :D Hi! ^-^ I'm a new member of this community and am new to GFY fandom as well. :)I enjoyed watching both OVAs, but I couldn't help feeling like I'd been dropped right in the middle of an already-established story. A little Internet research and it all came clear - there were two video games preceeding the anime! :D I was wondering why there were about 20 other magical girls besides Yuna and Yuuri! ^^;Have any of those games ever been released in North America? Or does anyone know where I can find them translated into English? I'd love to play them (and the OVA sequel game, too!).BTW, my favorite characters are Yuna, Yuuri and Polylina. :)Yay Yuna! ^.^ Current Mood: Yuna! (Comment on this) |

_11:01 pm_[igyouhime] | Question! Hello, I haven't seen anyone post here since I have joined. I have been a Galaxy Fraulein Yuna Fan for some years now and would like to ask a question to anyone who would have an idea. I have both the GFYuna's movies which feature Yuna 1+2 and Yuna Returns. Is that the only anime made of GFY?Just a ponder-Sami (2 Comments |Comment on this) |

_11:53 pm_[sharkyland] | I just noticed this now... I am Ray (Sharkyland), and I am the owner of the webpage Alephtina's Galaxy Fraulein Yunaverse. (Yeah, yeah, I haven't updated that webpage for a very very long time now, and I was thinking of moving to another location but I have gotten lazy and pissed off at my perfection ability.) Yeah, yeah, I know I'm kinda late, but I just got my curiousity to strike now. I know a lot of Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, and I still haven't played the 2nd game that was released for the PC Engine (which was starred Yuri, Erika 7, and Princess Mirage). My favorite character is Alephtina. :) (Comment on this) |

_12:05 pm_[vickyverky] | Which was the superior OAV? First or second?i know there's a lot of reviews that cite the second as poor because of the emotional friction (so-called 'melodrama') involved and contrast in style to the first OAV.It was actually the second OAV that cemented my devotion to GFY, but i still think i prefer the first, just because it has a bouncy fun-loving feel to it that i enjoy. _9:32 am_[eilonwy_sama] | Come on now, people. We can't have just a monthly update reminding us that this community is still here. *gets up on her soapbox*Well hello there. My name is Keira and I'm posting. Do the cool thing and reply. All your friends are doing it (they just aren't telling you because they want you to suffer social ruin and be a pariah) so why shouldn't you? Doesn't anyone have anything to say about GFY or anything in general? Surely somewhere within this strange delight there is something noteworthy.*hops off her soapbox*I could try subliminal messaging (POST OR REPLY), but we all know how that never works (POST OR REPLY). Besides, I wouldn't even think to (POST OR REPLY) try it on people with such incredible minds (POST OR REPLY) such as yourselves.Cheers,Keira Current Mood: curious (11 Comments |Comment on this) |

_11:14 pm_[sailornash] | Welcome, new members! This month's plug posted to comunity_promo. I know I'm gonna forget to do that every month, so if I do then feel free to remind me, okay? >_<Anyway, picked up a few new members this month. Welcome, guys! Hope y'all enjoy your stay here! Things are a little slow getting started, but if any of you out there want to introduce yourselves then feel free to. It'd be a great way to jump-start a discussion or three. ::smiles:: |

_8:19 pm_[sailornash] | Online TCG, now featuring Yuna! As I said, it's not anything earth-shattering, but here's the news: The webmaster over at IllegalSanity.com and I have created some Yuna cards for her Online Trading Card Game, Drool-Worthy.For those of you that haven't heard of Online TCG's before, the premise is the same as trading Baseball cards or "Magic: the Gathering" cards or anything else. When you join up, they will give you ten cards (which are really little .gif files for you to put on a webpage). You then look at other people's webpages where they display their card collections, and if you want to try to trade with them, you email them and offer some of your cards for the ones of theirs that you want. (For an example of what someone's card collection might look at, drop by my card page to see an example.) After you both agree on which cards to trade, you each take the cards you're giving the other person off of your webpage, and upload the new ones instead. These kinds of games started a year or so ago with Senshi Card-Mania!, and several others have popped up since then.Anyway, Drool-Worthy is an Online TCG that features characters from multiple Anime, and I used some of my influence as a Staff member to get them to include a set of Galaxy Fraulein Yuna cards. For those of you that might be interested, feel free to go over there and check it out. (Also, if you haven't signed up for either of these games as of yet, please remember to put "SailorNash" as your referral. Thanks!) Current Mood: excited (Comment on this) |

_3:52 am_[sailornash] | I have a surprise for you all! ::smiles::Though I can't say specifically what it is at this very moment, I'm working on a small side project having to do with GFY. Nothing earth-shattering, but it is noteworthy for two reasons. First, Yuna fandom is spreading to new areas and new people, which is always good to see. Secondly, it would likely be fun for the existing GFY Fans here on the World Wide Web. ^_^However, to do this, I need some more pictures from this series. It doesn't matter if it's a doushinji scan or a screen capture from a video game or one of the OAV's, or box art from one of the toys or Chisa Yokoyama's CDs. Anything, really, as long as it's a nice pic of the characters. If anyone has a favorite picture or three, feel free to post them here or email them to me. I have plenty of pictures of Yuna Kagurazaka, and several of Polylina, Masaki, Yuri, and Princess Mirage. What I mainly need are shots of Ayako, Fraulein D, Kyoka, Genbu, and the three Matrix robots (in either human or robot form), as well as any of the supporting characters like Shiori, Erika, Mai, or Ryudia. (If you do have an amazingly cool shot of one of the main characters though, feel free to post that as well, just in case it turns out better then the ones I already have).Anyway, I would venture to say that it's about a third of the way completed at the moment, and will likely go live sometime in mid-January. Don't worry though, I'll post here as soon as it's finished, so stay tuned! ::smiles:: Current Mood: creative (1 Comment |Comment on this) |

_7:26 pm_[sailornash] | Welcome, everyone! ^_^ Hello, and welcome to the Galaxy Fraulein Yuna fan club! As a huge GFY fan, I decided to start up a LJ community for the fans of this great Anime. As it turns out, there was not a community devoted to GFY as of yet, so I decided to start up the first one. ^_^I took the liberty of adding everyone that had "Galaxy Fraulein Yuna" listed as one of their interests...if you do not wish to belong to this community, then feel free to leave. However, I certainly hope that everyone here will enjoy this community. ::smiles::As far as rules? I can't really think of any, and won't make any till someone acts up and forces me to do so. Just try to be respectable and use common sense. If you are posting large or multiple images, please lj-cut them. Discussions are fine, but try not to blatantly flame anyone. Spoilers are okay here - I'm pretty sure most of the folks who list GFY as a favorite already know what all happens. Especially since with the DVD release, both OAV's are on the same disc (unlike the VHS release, where each OAV was on a seperate cassette). Off-topic convo is okay in moderation. No one's going to mind the occasional question about other Anime titles or about your personal life, but for the most part, these types of posts belong in the "Anime" community and in your personal journal, respectively. Try to keep on topic for the most part. ::wink::I can't think of anything else to put here. Thanks for being here, and I hope you enjoy your stay! Current Mood: excited (5 Comments |Comment on this) |
