E For All Expo is 1 week away! Anyone going to E For All in Los Angeles? It's taking place on Oct. 3-5, at the LA Convention Center. It allows gamers to test drive the latest video games, gadgets and gear. Plus there’s a game career seminar, art exhibition, and much more.

Spore Creatures for Nintendo DS Everyone else felt like he's in a bad movie recently? My PC couldn't handle "Spore" (graphic card too old) so I thought I might give the DS version a try. Of course I knew a lot of features would be missing and the graphic would be lot less detailed. But when I tried it, it felt like I was in a mixture of Pokèmon and Nintendogs. You meet a new creature and it's like "now you got to cuddle it for you to become friends" (Nintendogs) or "You'll have to fight" (Pokemon). But even with the fights you couldn't intervene in them, you just had to wait while the fight took place automatically. Hello? That's definitely not what I was looking for. Plus the handling of my creature didn't work so very good. It moved way to fast, so I had a bit of trouble with that, too. Maybe it's just me, but that was very disappointing. Sold it after only 2 days.

Mario Kart Wii Just got me a reward for doing a lot of overtime during the last weeks: Mario Kart Wii. It's on sale here since today, and I had a little trouble finding a shop that had one left for me to buy, but I managed to get my hands on it.
I love it! I've always been a huge fan of all Mario Kart games, but this could become my favourite. There are 8 cups with 32 tracks, half of them new and half old ones from other versions of the game. Single player mode is fun (practice!), but I absolutely love the online mode - if you think you're good at the game, you'll learn better there. Need to go back now, lot of practice needed for my next try online.

New :D Hi everyone, a little introduction...
age: 31
location: Hamburg, Germany
gaming background: started out with my brother's GameBoy (the original one, about 18 years ago), then tried his Super Nintendo before buying my first own GameBoy Pocket and every GameBoy released after that (Color, Advance, Advance SP) and now the DS and DS lite. But unlike many others I sold most of the old consoles - I needed the money for the new ones ;)
Also I owned the GameCube and a PS2. Loved the GameCube, but again - it had to go when Wii came out.

Have Your Say About The Banning Of Manhunt 2 In Britain! I'm sure that lots of people have been disappointed by the BBFC's decision to ban manhunt 2 from being sold in Britain.
Anyone that has been affected by this decision, or is simply annoyed by this, have your say by emailing the BBFC. I received a quick reply from them, so don't hesitate to contact them addressing your concerns.
You will hopefully email them if you don't like being treated like a baby, and think that adults should have the right ot make their own decisions. I emphasised this point in my emails to them.
