This research investigates the feasibility and challenges associated with implementing the jigsaw... more This research investigates the feasibility and challenges associated with implementing the jigsaw learning strategy using the breakout rooms feature in zoom meetings. The action research design was used. The sample consists of a total of 65 students in 3 classes of the Physical Education, Health and Recreation study program, Faculty of Sports and Health, Ganesha University of Education. Data were collected from the sample in the third semester for the 2020/2021 through observations, interviews, and questionnaires with Google form. The stages include pre-learning, introduction-the main zoom room, the original group I-breakout rooms from I, the expert group-breakout rooms, the original group II-breakout rooms from II and closing-the main zoom room. The 6 stages were further elaborated into 17 steps. Quantitative descriptive technique was used to analyze the data collected through questionnaires. The results showed that: 1) jigsaw learning strategy to conduct breakout room features in zoom meetings was feasible and easy to be applied in online learning, 2) jigsaw learning strategy can use as a reference for the implementation of meaningfull online learning. However, further research needs to statistically determine the effectiveness of the jigsaw learning strategy by using the breakout rooms feature in zoom meetings.

This study used the qualitative research method. The instruments used were interview guidelines, observation guidelines and documentation study guidelines. Strategic issues on social media related to citizenship skills were Pancasila ideology, law enforcement, black campaign, politics of identity, conflict of diversity, national disintegration, terrorism, intolerance, spreading of hatred and hoaxes. These social media content deserve to be the problems that are examined in the process of civics education instruction because they are contextual, challenging, value-based, meaningful and fun for the students. Studies on social media content were very important because all students used social media and made it as a source of learning; the contents of social media were related to citizenship skills; social media content that was not analysed comprehensively created misconceptions; the content on social media was contextual; social media content was more attractive for the students to be studied in lectures; and studying the citizenship issues that existed on social media familiarised the students to a critical and democratic thinking. Social media has become an essential means of communication in global life with increasingly sophisticated technological means.

This study aims to develop an online-based collaborative project learning model design that can i... more This study aims to develop an online-based collaborative project learning model design that can improve students' abilities in developing teaching materials. The method used is research and development. Data collection instruments are questionnaires and rubrics. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. The validation test used the individual content validity index and the overall content validity index. The Collaborative Project Online Learning (CPOL) model developed consists of six stages in learning: (1) orientation, (2) understanding project concepts and tasks, (3) designing and determining project themes, (4) working on project assignments, (5) presenting project assignments, and (6) evaluating project assignments. The results show that the content validity index shows a good category. Students are also good at developing teaching materials. Thus, the design of the CPOL model can be used in the course of developing teaching materials in higher education.

Recent studies on self-learning have emphasized the importance of the cognitive and motivational ... more Recent studies on self-learning have emphasized the importance of the cognitive and motivational elements of the classroom environment. Most of these studies have explored these elements by considering the potential for contextual variation. The current study examined inequalities in students' average assignment scores in social studies, math, and English education, as well as several non-cognitive variables, namely self-efficacy, exam anxiety, the use of cognitive strategies, the use of regulatory strategies, and academic success in the class. Employing an in-subject correlational design, students of mathematics, social sciences, and English were divided by gender. Multivariate regression was used to evaluate the relationships among performance, strategy utilization, and motivation indicators. The participants in the study were 545 students in the seventh and eighth grades of a secondary school (51 percent girls) who were asked to complete a self-report questionnaire. The results of the study showed that factors involving motivation and cognitive strategies varied by gender and subject, but not the use of regulatory approaches or academic achievement. However, according to the data, the relationships between these constructs appear to be relatively similar across the three subject areas studied. The importance of the findings to understanding the context-specificity of students' self-learning is highlighted.

The development research being carried out has the aim of producing digital content developed bas... more The development research being carried out has the aim of producing digital content developed based on information processing theory for the message design course in Educational Technology Study Program in Education Science Faculty of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. This is a development research in which the Hannafin & Peck model is used. The developed digital content is evaluated using formative evaluation techniques, including 1) expert validation, 2) one-to-one evaluation, and 3) small group evaluation. The subjects involved in this study were 2 experts, namely media experts and instructional design experts, 3 students in one-to-one evaluation, and 9 students in small group evaluation. The methods and instruments used to collect data in this study were observation and questionnaires. Based on the expert's judgment, the design aspect is in the good category, the media aspect is in the very good category. Students' responses at the one-to-one and small group evaluation stages are in the good categories. Thus, it can be concluded that the attractiveness of digital content is in the good category.

Since the development of information and communication technology ‘learning media’ have been reco... more Since the development of information and communication technology ‘learning media’ have been recognized as increasingly important courses by educators to assist students training to be professional teachers to understand the process of designing, developing, utilizing, managing, and evaluating learning resources. The context-aware ubiquitous learning approach design based on case methods and team-based projects has been proposed to guide activities in the student learning process. Therefore, this research aims to describe the design and determine the feasibility or validity of context-aware ubiquitous learning based on case methods and a team-based project model using the research and development (R&D) approach. The procedure consists of (1) model development and (2) product validation. It is important to note that the validation aspect involved five learning material/design experts, five ‘learning media’ experts, and 162 students from state and private universities in Indonesia after which the data obtained from experts and students were analyzed using the descriptive statistics. The results showed that the learning model designed is suitable for use in the student learning process.

This study used a quasi-experiment with two control classes and two experimental classes which were determined through random sampling. Prior to being randomised, an equivalence test was carried out to ensure all classes were equal. The experiment used was a post-test-only control group design with multicultural knowledge test instruments, multicultural attitude inventories and observation guidelines of multicultural skills. The results show that the multicultural knowledge, attitudes and skills of students who took multicultural-based learning model syntax were better than students who took the STAD type of cooperative learning model. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak dalam mengenal konsep bilangan dan lambang bilangan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatip tipe picture and picture berbantuan media kartu angka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam II siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 11 orang anak di TK Bayu Kumdhala Bubunan pada kelompok A Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Data penelitian tentang kemampuan kognitif anak dalam mengenal konsep bilangan dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar format observasi.Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis statisti Deskriptif dan metode analisis deeskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan rata-rata skor kemampuan kognitif pada anak kelompok A setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture berbantuan media kartu angka siklus I sebesar 58,70% yang berada pada kategori rendah. Kemudian pada siklus II menjadi 84,45% yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Jadi terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kognitif setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran tipe picture and picture berbantuan media kartu angka sebesar 25,75%. Kata Kunci : kognitif,media kartu angka, model pembelajaran tipe picture and picture The problem of this research was the low of students’ cognitive ability in recognizing numeral of 1-10. This research was aimed to find out improving of students’ cognitive ability in recognizing numeral concept and numeral symbol after the implementation of cooperative learning model of picture and picture numeral card assisted media type. The kind of this research was an action research that was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this research were 11 students of A group in second semester in TK Bayu Kumdhala Bubunan in academic year 2013/2014. The data that had been collected were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study showed that there was improving in average of score toward cognitive ability to the students of A group after the implementation cooperative learning model of picture and picture numeral card assisted media type. The result in cycle 1 was 58,70% that was exist in low category. Then, in cycle 2 was 84,45% that was exist in high category. This study used a quasi-experiment with two control classes and two experimental classes which were determined through random sampling. Prior to being randomised, an equivalence test was carried out to ensure all classes were equal. The experiment used was a post-test-only control group design with multicultural knowledge test instruments, multicultural attitude inventories and observation guidelines of multicultural skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak dalam mengenal konsep bilangan dan lambang bilangan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatip tipe picture and picture berbantuan media kartu angka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam II siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 11 orang anak di TK Bayu Kumdhala Bubunan pada kelompok A Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Data penelitian tentang kemampuan kognitif anak dalam mengenal konsep bilangan dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar format observasi.Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis statisti Deskriptif dan metode analisis deeskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan rata-rata skor kemampuan kognitif pada anak kelompok A setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture berbantuan media kartu angka siklus I sebesar 58,70% yang berada pada kategori rendah. Kemudian pada siklus II menjadi 84,45% yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Jadi terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kognitif setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran tipe picture and picture berbantuan media kartu angka sebesar 25,75%. Kata Kunci : kognitif,media kartu angka, model pembelajaran tipe picture and picture The problem of this research was the low of students’ cognitive ability in recognizing numeral of 1-10. This research was aimed to find out improving of students’ cognitive ability in recognizing numeral concept and numeral symbol after the implementation of cooperative learning model of picture and picture numeral card assisted media type. The kind of this research was an action research that was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this research were 11 students of A group in second semester in TK Bayu Kumdhala Bubunan in academic year 2013/2014. The data that had been collected were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study showed that there was improving in average of score toward cognitive ability to the students of A group after the implementation cooperative learning model of picture and picture numeral card assisted media type. The result in cycle 1 was 58,70% that was exist in low category. Then, in cycle 2 was 84,45% that was exist in high category.
