Welcome to the first edition of The Gathering 2009 Newsletter!

With each edition of this newsletter, we'll be bringing you up to date on the latest happenings in the "Gargoyles" fandom and giving you the scoop on the many events planned for the next Gathering of the Gargoyles, taking place in Los Angeles, California in the summer of 2009.

Gathering 2009 Dates and Location Announced!

Just in time for the holidays, the 13th Annual Gathering of the Gargoyles announces is official Date and Location!

The Gathering 2009 will take place August 21-24, 2009 at the fabulous Hilton in Universal City, located at the main entrance to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk!

The Hilton is offering a block rate of $159 per night (double occupancy) to Gathering attendees who call for reservations by July 23, 2009. Please mention that you are with "The Gathering of the Gargoyles" when calling to receive this special rate. For more information, please visit:

Early Registration Extended!

With the convention date and location now set, we have extended Early Registration through January 31, 2009 to give everyone time to take advantage of the discounted rates. Be sure to check out our registration package deals, which include convention membership, the banquet, and a t-shirt! After January 31, 2009 the rates for membership will go up. Don't delay, glide on over to our website and register now!

New Gathering of the Gargoyles Forum!

Looking to connect with other "Gargoyles" fans? Trying to find a roommate? Curious about hosting a panel or have a couple questions for the staff? Come visit our brand new Gathering of the Gargoyles message forum!

Art Show Registration Officially Open!

Attention "Gargoyles" artists, now is the time to strut your stuff! Art Show Registration is currently open and space once again will be limited. The price is $10 for a panel or table to display your work. Put your art up for sale or auction, or simply put it up to share with the fandom. Artists of all levels of experience are welcome. Our fandom is known for fantastic artists, so let's make the Gathering 2009 Art Show the most impressive one yet!

Dates to Remember:

January 31, 2009 – The last day to take advantage of the current membership rates of 60.00foradultsand60.00 for adults and 60.00foradultsand30.00 for children ages 10 through 14 (accompanied by an adult). If you haven't yet purchased your membership for next year's Gathering of the Gargoyles, now is the time!

July 23, 2009 – Deadline for hotel reservations at the Hilton Los Angeles / Universal City to receive the Gathering's discounted block rate.

August 21 – 24, 2009 – The 13th Annual Gathering of the Gargoyles.
