I am a Baptist pastor who in 2015 completed a D.Min. degree in the track "Revival and Reform: Renewing Congregational Life." My thesis was a biography of nineteenth-century educator, evangelist, fundraiser, publisher, abolitionist, army chaplain, and Freedmen's Bureau officer Mansfield French, which examined what factors enabled French's "multivocational ministry."
