Have you ever wished that you could be a part of your favorite fandom's family, or otherwise share in their family atmopshere Have you ever wanted to walk a mile in your favorite character's shoes but without having to deal with a whole RPG scheme? Perhaps you've desired to mix your love of role playing with your other love of creating fan works? Maybe you want a land comm that welcomes all fandoms but allows you to focus on the fandoms and/or characters you really want and even make extra points for using them? When I was researching the Leemmy post I discovered Fragile Elite Design. So you can thank Leemmy for this! Any who, Fragile Elite is the most creative U.K. centric designer jewelry I have seen in a while! Being that I'm obsessed with all things U.K. you can see why I was immediately drawn to Fragile Elite. Best of all, it's reasonably priced!

Excuse me while I squee like a mad thing, but something that a lot of people (myself included) have been saying Really Ought to Happen, has just been announced:
An Adventure in Space and Time will tell the story of the genesis of Doctor Who since its first broadcast on 23 November 1963. Exploring all aspects of the longest running science fiction series to date, the special one off 90 minute drama will also look at the many personalities involved in bringing the series to life.
Written by Mark Gatiss, it is Executive Produced by current Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner. The single drama was commissioned by Ben Stephenson Controller, Drama and Janice Hadlow, Controller of BBC TWO.
BRB, squeeing madly...
I'm really glad I found this community and I wanted to use my first post to remind everybody that this Friday is GEEK PRIDE DAY!
May 25th holds a few points of significance in geek history:
- The original release date of Star Wars IV: A New Hope (May 25, 1977)
- Towel Day, a day for fans to celebrate Douglas Adams (author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series)
- The People's Revolution of the Glorious Twenty-Fifth of May in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series (Since the announcement that Pratchett is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, there's been a call for fans to wear lilac flowers as the characters in the book have and to raise money for Alzheimer's research.)
So how about an exchange of ideas for activities for Geek Pride Day, whether they be fandom-based or just general nonsense between hoopy froods?

So I am starting writing my Fringe Festival show.
I need your help!
The basis of the show is this:
THE AUDIENCE IS THE PEOPLE AT THIS MEETING WHICH IS FOR RECOVERING GEEKS. THERE ARE 6 MAIN GEEK TYPES THAT WILL BE ADDRESSING THE GROUP.
The types of fangirls are:
- Fangirl
- Literary
- Film
- Musc
- Funny Girl
- Domestic Goddess
So here is what I need, I need names and there specific obcessions. I am having a few ideas like using Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle and of course a bit of Doctor Who, Star Wars, Treck and others.... but if you have any ideas for major films, music and dom it would be helpful.
I; myself am an funny girl geek so I can manage that.
I got this book in the mail today and love it!
Cheers in advanced
