Komende zondag 2 maart is het weer zover: het geek-gehalte van Woerden zal met toch minstens 0.02% stijgen. Men is welkom vanaf 13.00. De Pattaxi zal weer rijden, maar alleen als hij een clubje in een keer kan oppikken, dus regel dat aub onderling.De lijst van aanmeldingen is overweldigend lang:breytenkees_sluna_puella & xjohanxbakeniusdamaniquesbslink & Trifonfluffball & Riettesol_nuadaMaar we zullen het allemaal wel weten in te passen.Overigens gaan wij ook met onze tijd mee en is er inmiddels een WhatsApp Geekfest-groep. In tegenstelling tot Facebook zit ik daar wel op, dus mocht er een boom op het spoor zijn gevallen, blijkt ineens je oma zondag jarig te zijn, of herinner je je dat je eigenlijk helemaal geen Geek bent, dan is een WhatsApp berichtje ook wel zo makkelijk.Onze kat is inmiddels berucht bekend en behoeft geen introductie. Al lijkt hij met de jaren iets milder te zijn geworden. Mogelijk dus dat hij deze keer niemand aanvalt, al blijft aaien op eigen risico.Wel hebben we inmiddels onze 30-gulden IKEA salontafel vervangen door een iiiieeets prijziger exemplaar. Het resultaat is dat Pat en ik irritant neurotisch obsessief zijn geworden mbt onderzetters. Je zult ons niet meer sociaal vinden, maar er zullen tenminste geen kringen op het hout verschijnen.Zodra je dat alles hebt overleefd, wordt je hoogstwaarschijnlijk onderworpen aan een filmpje waarin ik door middel van interpretive dance een statement wil maken over de huidige maatschappij.Mocht je ondanks al deze waarschuwingen er nog steeds zin in hebben, dan zien we jullie zondag!Edit: zoals besproken (maar helaas niet genuttigd) de hipster-chocolade: http://www.chocoweb.nl/

New Geekfest meeting	[Jan. 30th, 2012|02:25 pm]Geekfest NL
*blows dust of the journal* Is this thing still on? Testing, testing, one, two, three...While we still see each other through other means (also known as 'normal social activities'), I felt like having a good ol' fashioned Geekfest again. After all, many of you still haven't seen our big ass new house, even though we're living here for almost a year now. (Though in fairness, most people that come to visit are more interested in our big ass tv).In terms of what we'll be doing, it will probably be the usual snacks and chatting and boy, do we have stuff to talk about (luna_puella is getting married! damanique graduated and has a job! Other exciting things that I don't know about!). Though in between the energetic conversations, I may slip in some Scott Pilgrim or Community if people are interested (as they should be).First order of business, however, is picking a date. Right now the options are:February - 18, 19, 25 or 26March - 3, 4, 17, 18, 24 or 25So speak up and let us know which date works for you! Because we wouldn't want to have a Geekfest without you.LonnekeEdit: just realize 18-19 Feb is a no-go, because Pat then needs to lock himself up behind the computer for studying.
