Night is Day - Propeller TV Launch Date! Night is Day, Scotland's first ever web series, will be shown on Sky Channel Propeller TV (195) this Saturday at 10pm.

Episode 1 introduces you to Jason Mackenzie has he saves a young student journalist, Amy, from being killed by an attacker. Wounded, Jason is taken back to Amy's flat and she carefully patches him up without touching his skin, otherwise Jason's body will generate electricity which will shock Amy, and Jason will receive another vision.

While Amy patches up Jason, he recounts to her how he became a superhero and why he chooses to protect the innocent.

Episode 1 is 11 minutes long and like the rest of the series was shot with no money whatsoever. Well, we paid for the food and tapes.

Episodes 1 to 3 are currently online to watch at http://www.nightisday.com. Episode 1 is free to watch while episodes 2 and 3 are only £1 each. All money made goes to repaying the expenses we've spent so far making the series and any profit goes to making a 2nd series later this year.

We're currently filming the last episode of the series with 2 filming days left. So far over 14,000 people have visited our website and Martin Compston from "Sweet Sixteen", "Red Road" and "A Guide to Recognising your saints" has a cameo in episode 6.

Please spread the word about our series as the more people who know about it, the better.

Thank you :)

Fraser

Night is Day - Episode 2 - 16th of December Please please please copy this post and let everybody know about Night is Day - thank you.

Night is Day: The Web Series has so far had over 1200 people watch the first episode since last Saturday and the feedback has been amazing.

Following the adventures of Glasgow's first live-action superhero, it's a low budget series inspired by the likes of Doctor Who, Spider-Man and Angel.

Episode 1 introduced you to Jason, a reluctant superhero who is bestowed with the powers of foresight, and some electricity. Jason saves Amy, a young student journalist, and while she lets him heal his wounds at her flat, Jason recounts how he became a vigilante.

Now in episode 2 we will meet the evil Mr. Philips, a smooth-talking crimelord in the city of Glasgow - adored by the public but hated by the police, Mr. Philips is up to something sinister and evil. DCI Sloan, a tired aging detective and his new partner, the rough bad-tempered DI Mullan, are investigating Mr. Philips' activities and they head straight for the source.

Meanwhile across town Jason is put in the middle of a disturbance when Ms. Jones chases down a lackey who may or may not have something of extreme importance.

Episode 2 will be online on the 16th of December and it will only cost £2 to watch.

The more people who watch it, the more episodes we can make, so please help us out.

Thank you.

Hey! Hi guys and girls,

My name is Fraser, I'm 22 from Glasgow.

I just found the community and I had to join. I'm a self-confessed comicbook sci-fi geek, so this place is just perfect for me.

I am infact a low budget independent filmmaker, and I've made a few things that you can check out here.

I like things such as Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Serenity, Doctor Who, Smallville, Charmed (not the last series tho!) Quantum Leap, Roswell, Star Wars, Spider-Man (movies and the comics!) X-Men (not the 3rd one!) Alias, just to name a few.

I am at this moment in time involved in making a sci-fi superhero drama series called Night is Day: The Web Series and you can download the trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjffHhBlROo - please do check it out! And leave a comment if you would be so kind.

Looking forward to speaking to you all.

Cheers.

Greetings, fellow geeks! Hi! This is my first post. Obviously. I agree that communities where you have to be hot to join are rediculous, and that geeks are way hotter than people give them credit for. Hooray!

Anyhoo, I don't have that many hot pictures of myself, but I do have a great pic of me dressed up as Princess Leia for halloween.

( Help me Obi-One Kenobi, you're my only hope...Collapse )

New Geek on the block I thought I'd say hello and cut in a pic for your viewing pleasure. My pic is a little old (my brothers wedding early last year), and I'm happy to say I've only improved with time. I'm a gamer geek who loves table top games and reading all kinds of books. I recently recieved my BS in Electrical engineering, and I'm looking for a job in factory automation (I will build the machines that build the machines, which is okay because my friend is already working on the automated civil defense system that will kill us all). Anyway, here's the pic.

Hey, thought I'd join the group. I'm more of a mainstream geek. Big on anything Roddenberry, anything Whedon, do a little table top playing, several online ST RPGs. Plus, I'm a big social science nerd. Not too sure whether or not I'd be considered hot. I get different input depending upon the person. I was, however, recently told that I look a lot like Alexis Denisof so, that's something.
