help with removing black marks from pale leather...? ...I have a pale blue Dior leather wallet which picks up black marks that look like scuffmarks that shoes make on floors...I find that using an old white eraser (the old-fashioned kind in a pencil shape, made only of eraser and wood and brush on the end)helps somewhat, but I fear that it will remove the substance (calfskin, I believe)...the lady at the Louis Vuitton counter in Macy's said they only use 'very mild soap and water' on that sort of thing, and had no better suggestions. Do *you* have better suggestions. please? These marks seem to appear in the course of contact with a pocketbook or in a pocket, and even simply when the black fabric and leather on the wallet itself comes in contact with the pale leather on the wallet itself, as in the edging of the coin purse meeting the body of the wallet...thanks in advance for ideas!EDIT: Louis Vuitton actually says at its site NOT to ever use soap or solvents:http://www.louisvuitton.com/web/flash/index.jsp;jsessionid=G2TEQ3CS4PWPMCRBXUXFAHYKEG4RAUPU?buy=1&langue=en_USCurrent Mood: awake (Comment on this) |

copies of original clothing patterns from the first half of the 1900s... ...plus they have extended the range of sizes available, so that they fit modern sizes more easily...they look lovely |
