Therefore, this study investigates what stakeholders of companies know about CSR practices in Ghana and how they affect their choice and delivery of products and services. Qualitative research method was used in data collection and analysis to gather rich information from customers, employees and managers of six (6) companies in Ghana. NVivo, a qualitative data analysis computer software, was used to analyze the data collected. The key findings were that, there are three categories of customers had knowledge in CSR, employees are aware of CSR and would choose organisations that are CSR-driven, managers are also aware of CSR benefits and these benefits have influence on their performance. Results also revealed that there are four (4) forms of CSR practiced most in Ghana, economic, ethical, philanthropy and environmental responsibilities respectively. The study also revealed the constraints to the performance of CSR in Ghana are financial constraints and lack of vision of management team. It impacts negatively on the living conditions of humankind, especially livelihood, temperature change, rainfall regime, and rise in tidal waves. Design/Methodology/Approach: The population in the real estate industry. A descriptive design was used, including questionnaires, to gather data. Since the study sought to examine the willingness to purchase accordingly, a logit regression model was used to predict the likelihood that the dependent variable willingness to pay (WTP) equals 1 (rather than 0). Findings: Income level, price of the products, respondent’s age, gender, and availability of policies concerning eco-friendly products and identified associated health risks positively influence respondents’ WTP. The study reveals that in the real estate sector of the Ghanaian economy, there is a positive WTP eco-friendly roofing product; hence, entrepreneurs and investors should take advantage of the urgency to reduce the impact of climate change in Ghana by investing in eco-friendly products for both the real estate and construction sectors of the economy. Recommendations: The results show that any eco-friendly roof material must raise consumer awareness about the effects of climate change and shape consumer perceptions.

This is due to this fact, most financial institutions in the Ghana, are using the other traditional communication tools with sales promotion and Advertising dominating. Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank is used as a case study. Questionnaires, Interviews and documentations are the instruments used to gather data for this study. From the result of the study, it was discovered that Donation is a strong communication tool apart from the traditional communication mix. Donation also provides a cost effective means of communication to all stakeholders involved both in the long and short run. This was realized from the response gathered from the Questionnaires and interview. Again, Donation has a quick influence as it communicates quickly to recipients through the kind gesture done by the Bank. Donation increases sales as it urges most beneficiaries to open accounts with the Bank. It is therefore suggested that in event of further studies, information regarding the internal operation of the Bank must be made available so as to provide balance analysis of the study. In the study, Donation was found to infuse all the other communication tools at a time, because in one Donation activity, the Bank is able to directly promote its services through Direct Marketing, personal selling, advertising, sales promotion and public relations.

This study explored the determinants and constraints of the access to finance of Agro Based SMEs ... more This study explored the determinants and constraints of the access to finance of Agro Based SMEs in the Cape Coast Metropolis, Ghana. The research utilized primary data using a structured questionnaire. Sixty (60) SMEs in the Metropolis were selected using the simple random sampling technique. A pilot test was conducted to confirm data reliability and validity. Results show that Agro-based SMEs prefer personal savings as the first means of finance. Also, collateral, owner’s gender, business sector, availability of audited financial statements, firm’s performance and size are the determinants of Agro-based SME’s access to financing. The major challenges Agro-based SMEs face in financing their businesses result in a lack of the expertise to prepare sophisticated financial statements, less repayment period, unclear financial plans to execute business, non-availability of enough MFIs and bureaucracy. It is recommended that Agro-based SMEs should cultivate the habit of savings personally to serve as the basis for their working capital to reduce over-reliance on banks and microfinance institutions. Additionally, Government interventions like MASLOC must be enhanced to allow more SME owners in SME businesses to access financing.

Theories developed over the years have often been based on western practices with little focus on emerging economies such as Africa. The growing call for a shift to a new system, especially from a non-western perspective has resulted in scholars examining public relations scholarship and practice in other jurisdictions, particularly in Asia. The onset of globalisation increased the scholarly discussion on public relations theorising, with culture playing a significant role in these discussions. This paper undertakes a review of the various discussions on public relations theorising due to globalisation and discusses its implications for public relations scholarship and practice in Africa. Design/methodology/approach-The paper approaches the issue by examining relevant literature on globalisation and societal changes, public relations theorising, and the African worldview. Findings-The paper concludes by proposing an African public relations framework that reflects the African worldview. The framework proposes that African public relations can be premised on four levels, humanist, relational, communalist, and strategic. Research limitations/implications-This research is limited in the sense that the proposed framework has not been empirically tested for verification. It offers scholars the opportunity to empirically test it within the African setting. Practical implications-The framework presents an opportunity for practitioners to review public relations practice within the African context. Originality/value-The paper's originality is premised on the development of a public relations framework premised on African social values.

The explorative study used six case studies, three apiece from private and public organizations. Thirty respondents from these organizations debated the subject in focus group discussions and interviews. The transcripts show that, while public institutions use their websites to inform, educate, train, and develop positive relationships with their publics, profit-oriented organizations extend the usage to running advertisements to gain more profits. The findings also show that an organization's ethical systems can determine a website’s content in dialogic communication. Besides ensuring regular updates and efficient feedback systems, we recommend that organizations have proactive public relations work ethics that make website content address visitors' issues without delay. Organizations can also incorporate video-on-d...
