Tis the season to diet [28 Apr 2004|08:49pm]
[ **mood** | blah ] Summer is right around the corner, and although I'm not fat, I wanna tone up a bit before summer actually hits. When it's bikini weather, I wanna be happy with what I see.Any of you have any tips as to how to stick to a diet and/or exercise program? What are some things that have helped you stick to either of those? And do you know any good exercises that help tone the stomach, thighs, and butt? I have DVDs that I workout to, but sometimes those get boring and I want new work outs to do. Maybe even ones that would be more effective. If anyone can help, that would be kick ass. :) Thanks!

This past weekend, I was living off of a lot of non-diet coke and chocolate (I was visiting a friend away at college). Well, as the weekend went on, and especially by the time I got home, I was breaking out like crazy. I used to be affected my pop and chocolate when I was a teenager, but at 21, I usually don't break out too badly from it. Either way though, I did this weekend and I absolutely hate looking in the mirror.I have a Christmas party for work to go to in about 2 weeks, so I'm hoping my face is back to normal.**Does anyone know any good things I could buy or any good remedies for fighting break outs?**Please help!

Hi I'm new! [17 Aug 2003|04:50pm]
I'm a 20 year old woman. I live in Illinois, signed up for the navy, shipping out next May... etc.So hmm... I've got a few funny stories.First one is, that my twin just had a baby 3 weeks ago, and for some reason my left boob started leaking colostrum.. Lovely eh? Thank God it stopped though, sheesh. Kinda weird though too, but I heard that some husbands of wives that just had babies can start leaking colustrum from their boobs as well.Another one is about 2 weeks ago I was on my period, and working. I work as a busser at a restaurant, (as well as a receptionist at another place.) But anyway, at the bussing job I didn't get to change my tampon in time b/c we were so busy and I bled all over my pants. X/ Luckily, the head waitress let me drive her car home and change clothes, and tampons. lol That was pretty shitty. Finally the worst period experience. When I was 13 in 8th grade I was still having very messed up/crazy periods. They lasted 29 days once, and very heavy bleeding. Anyway, one time in my algebra class, I was wearing a pad (b/c I hadn't started using tampons yet) and it started leaking. Blood everywhere. All over the seat. I didn't know what to do so I just got up and left. Went to the nurse. Had to call my MALE neighbor up b/c no one was home at my house. Had to explain to him what happend. *DIES*

Ok. There's this guy that I am friends with that I've fallen for. He likes my friend Kristin, but i think that we have potential, sooner or later. Kristin has no feelings for him past just being friends. My friend Tricia thinks that I should just give up.I was thinking about that, after she mentioned it, but then i thought, I'm never really confident about anything i do, if i'm good at it, if i'm not, and i've never really been confident about anything that has to do with guys.Advice.Should I give up?*CC*

first post. [04 Aug 2003|06:54pm]
[ **mood** | bored ] I just thought I'd post some tricks you may or may not know. Also, I love to give advice, so if anyone has questions involving sex, relationships, beauty, emotions, school... whatever, ask and I'll answer the best I can. I know sometimes it's easier to ask a stranger than someone you know in real life. Also, if you want them to be kept secret, feel welcome to email me (prozaccandynecklace@hotmail.com) or post anonymously. Now the tricks.1. If you have combination oily skin, forget nuetrogena and all that, regular, unscented dove soap has worked the best for me.2. Drink lots of water, I know you all know this, but it helps clear skin, control pms bloating, and of course just keeps you healthy all around. If you think regular water is boring try flavored or sparkling, they have some out there with no calories, sugar, additives. If you have a stop and shop around you, I suggest their brand. 3. Shave your legs and nether-regions with conditioner. It's cheaper then shaving cream, and leaves your legs just as smooth. Just remember to RINSE WELL.4. Use deoderant to make your nether-regions smooth and to stop in grown hairs, it also seems to slow growth, but that could be my imagination. Make sure you don't get any past where the hair would normally stop, that might get itchy. I'd also test it a little to make sure it doesn't cause a bad reaction.5. baby powder can make your skin look less shiny. Just don't use too much unless you want the goth look. Also remember to apply evenly with a makeup brush.6. To get any color eyeliner you want, just dampen a small makeup brush (think lipliner or lipstick brush) and use your eyeshadow. Don't use too much water though, or it'll take forever to dry and may smudge.7. Use regular body/hand lotion in your hair. Only a little though, and not too much at the roots to avoid the greasy look. It controls fly-aways, makes you're hair softer and creates defination for girls with layors. For some sparkle use glitter lotion (I use hypnotic poison lotion, it smells amazing and the gold glitter looks good on black or dark brown hair, it also makes my natural blonde highlights stand out a lot more.) Just make sure the glitter you choose doesn't end up looking like dandruff. I'll add more later when I think of them. I figured this would be a decent start. I'll delete if some of it is inappropriate.
