Oh I just didn't see the Input Values when looking through the options, code and examples.

The previous reports I'd being doing used restrictions so I was trying to follow the same logic,

The only different would be if you needed it at the model level instead of the entire report, (e.g. 2 models looking at the same datasource) in this case, comparing 2 symbols, although in that case you could add the datasource twice.
