Search with bad regular expression crashes the application · Issue #13592 · docker/for-win (original) (raw)

Description

Was trying to find a c++ image and the application crashed.

image

Reproduce

In the search bar type in "c++"

Expected behavior

Its not immediately obvious that the search is regular expression based. But even so, to just outright crash the application is a bit extreme. Either catch the exception and try plan text or have some way to show the user that there is a problem with the search term and do nothing.
