Code Sample, a copy-pastable example

import pandas as pd

pd.read_excel('test.xlsx', header=[0, 1], index_col=1, engine='openpyxl')

or

pd.read_excel('test.xlsx', header=[0, 1], index_col=[0, 2], engine='openpyxl')

or

pd.read_excel('test.xlsx', header=[0, 1], index_col=[1, 2], engine='openpyxl')

(engine could be xlrd or openpyxl, doesn't matter.)
