Description

A tufa robbanásos vulkáni kitörés során a vulkanikus törmelékár keletkezésekor a porból és hamuból létrejött lazább szerkezetű kőzet. A vulkáni tufák a vulkánosság jellege és a láva minősége szerint lehetnek andezit, bazalt, riolit stb. Könnyebben mállanak és rajtuk hamar képződik vastag talajtakaró.
