OK, punums of Awesome Teamage,
I have just heard an amazing thing from la vie en rose

lauzeta, which is that Bard on the Beach is doing:
Titus Andronicus(!!!)
The Tempest(!!!)
Twelfth Night(!!!)
KING LEAR!!!!

So, ummm... would anyone be up for a meetup at some point in Vancouver this summer? We can always pretend Aimee is getting married again. Or I could get married, just so we could have an excuse. Or we could celebrate the awesome that is vie and kurrs, or pretend its a very important film/music/Dr Who/vampire/Age-of-Sail conference at which we are keynote speakers. But seriousy, it would be soo sooo sooooo nice to see you guys again, and we could have an awesome time and go see Shakespeare together. And maybe fireworks! And Kiki! (And Graham!)

We could be like those posh people who every summer hit up the Festivals in order to air their new hats! Or we could be like a secret society!

Umm, so anyway - I'll probably visit Van at some point in July or August anyway, but I'm just wondering what the openness of Team Awesome might be to being there at the same time? What are your summer plans, dudes?

My friend Ric sent me this song: Cows with Guns by Dr Demento. Absolutely silly enough to be a good spring song. :-)

Oy! I want to have lunch with you guys tomorrow. How about at that Indian place by 4th and Macdonald (not the Naam) near where Aimee lives and Sarah used to? What time would you be able to come?

OK, lauzeta and I have just had this most amazing of ideas about the GSRS, which we are now sharing:
As a finish to the year we are going to make CD's, filled with slideshows of pictures from the last two years, music (maybe? Soundtrack ideas now being received), and movies of us acting. I have some, and I am going to get cameos from the rest of you over the course of our next reading or two. So brush out your foul fiends and Frenchifiedness.
What do you think??

Uhh, how it came about:

Team Awesome, coffee, Pendulum, 11am, Thursday April 5th. Yes? Yes. :D

Team Awesome Coffeetime, Thursday morning, Pendulum? Anyone? And what would the best time be?

OK, Team Awesome,
My first playlist I actually bothered to upload. It's gorgeous out, so here's for that...

As they appear in my inbox I will put the links here.
1. "The Trail We Blaze" - the Road to El Dorado. Can you get peppier than this? I do not know.

2. On Earth As It Is In Heaven - the Mission. It's lovely (instrumental) music, from a movie soundtrack that's often described as the 'best ever'.

3. Another piece from the Mission (the Falls, maybe?)

4. "Ocean" from Nonni and Manni, that Icelandic Christmas mini-series I was telling you about. This is the credit music, to the sight of Nonni galloping on his pony Grani past waterfalls and so on. Uhhh... if you think it's awful, that's OK, it's just part of my childhood.

2,3, and 4 are available for download here.

5. "Suddenly I See" - KT Turnstall. This song was on Ugly Betty. Very happy. :-)

Genevieve and I were discussing a Team Awesome meeting this week sometime, maybe? Like, for coffee on Thursday morning or something?

Playlist 2: More Nonni Music, for anyone who's curious.
1. Nonni's Sadness
2. Ocean View (opening credits, no singing)
3. Morning Air (picture cross-country skiing in Iceland when it's bright and sunny)
Apologies for what is I think an extensive amount of synthesizer?

Heigh ho,

Since my classes this term are almost entirely in the afternoon and evening, I find that I'm falling into a pretty terrible set of sleeping habits (ie. sleeping until 11, puttering around the house for a while, and going to class, while leaving homework for the middle of the night). Is anyone else having a similar problem? Would anyone be interested in having a regular or semi-regular morning coffee date at, say, 9 or 10 to get us up and out of the house before noon? Any day but Monday would be a good one for me.

In other news, I hope all of Team Awesome has had a good week and is enjoying the gorgeous (if cold!) weather. I'm excited about my classes, and just about life in general. Go team!

Tonight I tried my hand at making lentil soup, and the recipe I came up with was easy to make and ended up being really good, so I thought I'd share it with y'all in the spirit of healthy eatings and cheaper grocery bills.

Ingredients:

Green Lentils
Orange lentils
Condensed tomato soup in a can
Red Bell Pepper (medium sized)
Yellow Bell Pepper (medium sized)

Butter or cooking oil

Go Team!

Love,
Aimee
