What are the benefits?

Benefit #1: MediSave Top-Ups

All Pioneers will receive annual MediSave top-ups for life, which range from 300−300-3001,2001 depending on birth cohort. These top-ups can be used to further offset premiums for MediShield Life, ElderShield, and CareShield Life. Older Pioneers with serious pre-existing conditions and are paying for additional premiums will receive additional MediSave top-ups of 50−50-50200 from 2021-2025, to help with their higher MediShield Life premiums.

1 The MediSave top-up has been increased from 2025 onwards (originally 200−200-200800 before 2021, and 250−250-250900 from 2021 to 2024).

Benefit #2: Additional Outpatient Care Subsidies

More subsidies at Polyclinics, Public Specialist Outpatient Clinics (Public SOCs) and Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) clinics.

Enrollees under Healthier SG will receive special subsidies for Healthier SG screening tests and vaccinations at their enrolled Healthier SG Primary Care Provider. They may also receive enhanced subsidies for selected chronic medications under the Healthier SG Chronic Tier at their enrolled Healthier SG GP clinic. Healthier SG Screening Free with Healthier SG Screening invitation letter, for Healthier SG screening test(s) and first post-screening consultation, if required
Nationally-recommended vaccinations From 1 November 2020 onwards, Pioneers who meet the criteria for vaccination under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) are eligible for subsidies for nationally-recommended vaccinations.
*In order to receive subsidies for Public SOC visits, you will need to be referred from eligible referral sources. Clinics under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)

Polyclinics and Public Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs)

All Pioneers will receive an additional 50% off their remaining bill for subsidised services and medications at polyclinics and public SOCs. Pioneer Generation benefits for outpatient treatments are available at the following public healthcare institutions:

Benefit #3: CareShield Life Additional Participation Incentives

CareShield Life is a national long-term care insurance scheme targeted at severe disability and is an enhancement of the ElderShield scheme.

In November 2023, the Ministry of Health announced that the participation incentives for CareShield Life would be extended for another year, until 31 December 2024.

Pioneers will receive participation incentives of 1,875(1,875 (1,875(187.50 per year) and additional participation incentives of 1,125(1,125 (1,125(112.50) if they join and are covered under CareShield Life by 31 December 2024.

For Pioneers who permanently need assistance in at least three of these Activities of Daily Living:
