Benefit #1: MediSave Top-Ups
All Pioneers will receive annual MediSave top-ups for life, which range from 300−300-300−1,2001 depending on birth cohort. These top-ups can be used to further offset premiums for MediShield Life, ElderShield, and CareShield Life. Older Pioneers with serious pre-existing conditions and are paying for additional premiums will receive additional MediSave top-ups of 50−50-50−200 from 2021-2025, to help with their higher MediShield Life premiums.

Benefit #2: Additional Outpatient Care Subsidies
More subsidies at Polyclinics, Public Specialist Outpatient Clinics (Public SOCs) and Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) clinics.
Enrollees under Healthier SG will receive special subsidies for Healthier SG screening tests and vaccinations at their enrolled Healthier SG Primary Care Provider. They may also receive enhanced subsidies for selected chronic medications under the Healthier SG Chronic Tier at their enrolled Healthier SG GP clinic. Please visit Healthier SG for more information.

Clinics under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)

Polyclinics and Public Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs)
All Pioneers will receive an additional 50% off their remaining bill for subsidised services and medications at polyclinics and public SOCs. Pioneer Generation benefits for outpatient treatments are available at the following public healthcare institutions:

Benefit #3: CareShield Life Additional Participation Incentives
- $4,000 participation incentives to join CareShield Life on or before 31 December 2023
- $3,000 participation incentives to join CareShield Life from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024. This will be spread over ten years and used to offset their annual CareShield Life premiums.
CareShield Life is a national long-term care insurance scheme targeted at severe disability and is an enhancement of the ElderShield scheme.
In November 2023, the Ministry of Health announced that the participation incentives for CareShield Life would be extended for another year, until 31 December 2024.
Pioneers will receive participation incentives of 1,875(1,875 (1,875(187.50 per year) and additional participation incentives of 1,125(1,125 (1,125(112.50) if they join and are covered under CareShield Life by 31 December 2024.

Benefit #4: MediShield Life
- Pioneers receive special Pioneer Generation Subsidies of between 40-60% depending on age. This is regardless of their household monthly income or the Annual Value of their home.
- Pioneers also receive 300−300-300−1,200 a year in MediSave top-ups (depending on year of birth) for life, which can be used to pay for their MediShield Life premiums.
- Older Pioneer Generation Seniors who have serious pre-existing conditions also receive additional MediSave top-ups of 50−50-50−200 annually from 2021 to 2025, which can be used to pay for their MediShield Life premiums.

Benefit #5: Pioneer Generation Disability Assistance Scheme
For Pioneers who permanently need assistance in at least three of these Activities of Daily Living:
- Feeding
- Washing
- Dressing
- Transferring from bed to chair and vice versa
- Toileting
- Walking or moving around
Life-long cash assistance of $100 monthly to help Pioneers with their care expenses. To find out more about the scheme, visit the AIC website .
Who is eligible?
Singapore citizens who:
- Were born on or before 31 December 1949, and
- Became a Singapore citizen on or before 31 December 1986.

- LifeSG App: Pioneers who have successfully logged onto the LifeSG app via SingPass can view their Pioneer Generation (PG) e-card. Download the LifeSG app today: Android, iOS.
- Singpass Mobile App: Seniors who are Singapore citizens may log on to their SingPass mobile app to view their eligibility status for the Pioneer Generation Package.
How do I apply?
Those eligible for the Pioneer Generation Package would have received a notification letter in June 2014.
