I don't know if this qualifies as a "Present your Goalie" post, but at least it's a picspam, and Pepe deserves some love because he's a fantastic goalkeeper and an awesome person on top of that. :)

There's not much time left, so I thought I'd post a quick reminder in case anyone doesn't know about this yet.
On August 25th, Esteban Parro, the mayor of Móstoles (the city on the outskirts of Madrid where Iker grew up) launched an online petition for Iker Casillas to win this year's Ballon D'Or.
Considering that he was the main reason why Real Madrid won the league title last season and that he captained the Selección to the first Euro victory in over 40 years, it's beyond dispute that he would deserve the prize. And it would be a particularly special honour because the last goalkeeper to win the Ballon D'Or was Russia's Lev Yashin of Dynamo Moscow in 1963.
Over 10,000 fans have backed Iker so far. So if you agree that Iker should be elected European Footballer of the Year 2008, go and sign the petition!
You have until October 31st, then the petition will be sent to France Football magazine, who have been organising the Ballon D'Or vote since 1956. Afterwards, the winner is selected by a panel of journalists and football officials.
