Plant of the day:Pycnanthemum tenuifolium —narrow-leaved mountain-mint
The flowers of narrow-leaved mountain-mint attract a wide variety of insects including butterflies, skippers, bees, wasps, beetles and flies. The Cherokee used the leaves as a poultice to treat headache, and internally to treat colds, fever and upset stomach.
